Agent Spotlight - Kristy

Kristy and family at Hollywood Studios
Where do you call home?  I am a military wife.  Home is wherever we are stationed.  Currently, that is in Maryland.

Are you married?  Yes.  My husband and love of my life, Ryan, and I have been married almost 15 years.  It’s been a fantastic adventure.

Any children?  We have three children.  Davalyn is 13, Reese is 12, and Timothy is 3.

Favorite vacation destination?  Walt Disney World.  There is no other place that I can relax like Disney, especially with having two special needs children and one child with extensive allergies.

Favorite Walt Disney World Resort?  This is a tough one!  If you ask my kids, they’ll tell you Art of Animation.  They LOVE the family suites!  Personally, I prefer the Beach Club Villas.  There is plenty of space, plus you have Stormalong Bay.  Add in that it’s within walking distance to both Epcot and Hollywood Studios, and it’s a win!
Favorite Walt Disney World attraction?
There are so many!  I think, if I have to pick just one, it’s Peter Pan’s Flight.  I love all the little details.  That particular attraction just seems to capture all of the magic to me.
Favorite Disney restaurant?
Whispering Canyon Cafe. Chef Williere has a special place in my heart.  When Ryan came home from his year long deployment, Chef Williere made us our very own unique dessert that everyone in the family was able to eat, even with all the allergies!

Favorite Disney snack?  Gelato in the World Showcase.

Wishes, Fantasmic or IllumiNations?  Wishes.
Favorite Disney Souvenir?
I have a pair of salt and pepper mills that I use every day.  Every time I use them, I smile.

Earliest Disney vacation memory?
Our first trip was after my husband’s first deployment.  It was to Disneyland, and our two oldest were 6 and 7.  I remember my daughter meeting Cinderella for the first time.  She was absolutely awestruck!

Disney Cruise Line, Disneyland or Walt Disney World?  Do I really have to choose???  Probably Walt Disney World then, because you don’t even have to go into the parks to have a good time.  There is so much to do in all of the resorts, and so much to see that you can go down for a weekend without park admission, and still have an amazing time!

Disney experience that brings tears to your eyes?  This question is easy.  My husband’s surprise homecoming will forever be etched in my mind as the unbeatable Disney experience.  Nothing will ever come close.  To top it off, Disney photographed and videoed it for us, so we can cherish it forever.

Where have you traveled aside from Walt Disney World?  Swiss Alps, France, Germany, Canadian side of Niagra Falls, Grand Canyon, Monterrey Mexico, Baja Mexico, Northern Coast of California, Florida Peninsula, Tucson, AZ, Phoenix, AZ, Grand Canyon, Denver, CO, Crested Butte, CO, San Antonio, Disneyland, Seattle, Portland, OR, D.C., Chicago, Tahoe, New Orleans, Nashville, Tennessee, Savannah, GA, Atlanta, GA, Hawaii, Guam, Palau, Okinawa, Tokyo, and Northern Japan.

Favorite TV Show?  Current - Once Upon a Time.  Netflix favorite - Leverage.

Favorite Movie?  Pride and Prejudice - the 5 hour version made by the BBC.

Favorite Color?  Green

Favorite Book?  The Count of Monte Cristo by Alexander Dumas

If you had to pick another job besides being a travel agent, what would you do?  Aside from being a travel agent, I am also a homeschool mom.  That is the best job in the world, and I would never want a different job that would take me away from them!  However, when they are eventually grown and gone, I plan on going into research to study autoimmune disorders since so many in my family (immediate and extended) suffer from them.

Let Kristy help your family plan the perfect vacation!
