Fulton's Crab House Review

Many Disney World restaurants offer some wonderful seafood dishes, but Fulton's Crab House is a cut above. Located in Downtown Disney's Pleasure Island district, Fulton's Crab House is a stand-alone replica of a classic paddle boat. (Think Rhett Butler and Scarlet O'hara from Gone with the Wind). Years and years ago, this was the Empress Lily, which offered a character breakfast.

I'll admit, Fulton's Crab House is one of those *must do* restaurants for my son, who doesn't even eat seafood. What?!???! Yep you heard me right! He is not a fan of seafood, but says the filet of beef is just top notch.

We had such an exceptional meal, culinary-wise and service-wise. Our server Keith went over and above our expectations during our meal. He did everything to make sure we were satisfied. All of his suggestions were on point, from appetizers to dessert. Thank you Keith! We WILL be back in the Fall!

When you first sit down to your table, you are brought a wonderful loaf of hard-crusted bread with butter, along with a complimentary crab boursin dip and sesame crackers. Don't like crab? Well, neither did I until I tasted this dip. WOW, definitely try it!

Now for the appetizers (which honestly, could be entrees themselves!)

Seafood Tower for Two

"Alaskan King Crab, shrimp cocktail, Ahi Tuna, lettuce cups, lump crab, oysters on the half shell."

A little secret, you can get the seafood tower for 2 of 4 to your preferences. When it comes to shellfish, I am  fan of shrimp, lobster and lump crab, that's it. My sister, however, LOVES crab legs and Ahi tuna. She LOVED this appetizer, and swore the crab legs and Ahi tuna could be a meal in itself. She said the tuna was definitely high quality, and prepared with a sesame and soy marinade, cucumber slaw, avocado, baby ice berg and drizzled with a chili aioli, was just exquisite! A quick tip: you can basically tailor the seafood towers to your liking. They will add or subtract those shell fish that meet your fancy.

Next we pressed on to even more wonderful experiences..

Lobster Corn Dogs

"Salsa verde, sweet chili aioli"

Take a lobster tail, split it in two, dip it in a wonderful batter, deep fry and serve with a delish sauce there ya have it. Wonderful!

Our appetizers alone could have been dinner, but we pressed on to dinner...

Filet Mignon

"8 ounce, charcoal grilled filet, served with mashed potatoes and cabernet demi-glace".

Obviously, my son had this tailored to his taste buds and loved it. I know, I know, it's a seafood restaurant. But, in all honesty, it's that good! Cooked perfectly, tender, flavorful.

Cold water lobster tail

"Cold water lobster tail, new potatoes, broccolini."

This was SO good! Huge Maine lobster tail, just outstanding

We were stuffed after dinner, but true to form,
my son just had to have dessert.

Chocolate creme brulee

This was outstanding! Rich, as all get out, but will definitely satisfy any sweet tooth!

Just a quick note: Fulton's is a Signature restaurant, therefore, proper attire is required. Perfect for an early dinner or late evening (when crowds are less) Fulton's is not to be missed!
