Grand Floridian Cafe Review

Located inside Disney's Grand Floridian Resort and Spa, Grand Floridian Cafe is definitely one of those restaurants at Disney that seem to fall off of the radar, but  should definitely be considered a hidden gem.

With the vast selections of restaurants serving breakfast on Disney property, this is one of our favorites!

Tastefully decorated with a Victorian flair, Grand Floridian Cafe is bright, cheerful and friendly, while offering views of the Grand Floridian's courtyard, and very serene.
Being just a staircase (or elevator ride) away from the monorail, access to Grand Floridian Cafe, could not be more convenient. Offering full menus for breakfast, lunch and dinner, Advanced Dining Reservations (ADRs) are usually easy to come by. Walk ups are possible, but not guaranteed.

I know, I know.... get on to the food!!

During our last visit in the Fall, we headed to Grand Floridian Cafe for breakfast. This is a *must dine at* location every year for us.

We started our breakfast off with juice and coffee. (Side note ... I do not indulge in caffeine much, but the decaf coffee here was very, very good!) My son is a huge fan of coffee, or anything else containing caffeine.
He ordered a Cappuccino.

He loves this!! He swears this is one of the smoothest and non-bitter Cappuccino's on Disney property. He even ordered a second!!!

Eggs Benedict

"Two poached eggs on a toasted English Muffin, Canadian bacon and key lime Hollandaise sauce, served with asparagus and a broiled tomato au gratin"

Key Lime Hollandaise sauce?!?! Why isn't this offered in gallons!??! I happen to love Eggs Benedict, but top it off with key lime hollandaise sauce, are you kidding me??!!? I cannot begin to tell you how wonderful this dish is. This is, by far, my fav eggs bennie on Disney property! Perfectly cooked, we're talkin' on a scale of 1 to 10, this is a 20! And get this... you can ask for extra Hollandaise on the side!! Color me happy!!

Lobster Eggs Benedict

"Two poached eggs, Lobster hash, asparagus and Hollandaise Sauce"

This was my sister's dish and she absolutely loved it!! Lobster, hollandaise, perfectly poached eggs.. seriously!?!??! OUTSTANDING!! Of course, you know I had to try this! Wonderful balance of flavors. Lobster chunks weren't huge, but blended perfectly! A definite must try for all of you first timers!

Mickey Waffle

"Malted or Multi Grain, served with bacon or sausage"

Hands down, my son's favorite Mickey waffle on Disney property. What better way to start your Disney day than with a HUGE Mickey waffle??? So light and fluffy! Did you know, you can ask for strawberries and whipped cream ?? You're welcome :)
We have dined here many times in the past and always thoroughly enjoyed our meals.
Lunch and Dinner offers a full menu of dishes from fish to pasta. One of the most popular dishes, is the Surf and Turf burger. (Angus chuck, butter poached lobster) Butter...Poached... Lobster. WOW!
If you visit Grand Floridian Cafe for lunch or dinner, please try the Chocolate Fondue or the Dessert Sampler; (berry tart, Boston cream pie, key lime tart, lemon cheesecake)
Grand Floridian Cafe should definitely be on your schedule during your next visit. With its outstanding menu items, quiet setting and easy access, this is not to be missed!!

Lumiere's on the Disney Magic

Lumiere's on the Disney Magic is the upscale and elegant of the bunch when it comes to Main Dining Rooms.  As you'd expect being themed off a movie based in France, the menu is French inspired and this is where you will find some of the "fancier" food to give a try!  Lumiere's is located midship on Deck Three off the main atrium.  There are two entrances, the main entrance is off the atrium and the one from the hallway around the side is accessible and often used when there is an event or activity in the atrium.  Lumiere's is often also open for other meals throughout the day, and has a more standard menu when this is the case. Main entrance from the atrium While French food can be intimidating, Disney does a great job making the menu approachable and still a bit familiar while working in some French influence and flavors.  If you are still a little weary of escargot, one of the best things about a Disney Cruise is that if you don't like something, t
