Disney Villains After Hours Event

This summer, the Kingdom Konsultant Agents took on a full day of training followed by a late night Magic Kingdom adventure at the Disney Villains After Hours Event.  The night promised low crowds, special effects on attractions, specialty food items available for purchase, a unique stage show and PhotoPass opportunities, and Maleficent at night. In addition, there were complimentary soda, bottled water, popcorn and ice cream novelties with our event admission! We couldn't wait to see what we could accomplish! Pro tip: you won't be able to accomplish it all in one night, there is just too much to see and do!

Walking in to Main Street was a little hectic with the day guests leaving and the party guests arriving.  We almost missed the guide map but managed to double back to grab some so that we could all make a plan! You notice right away a different feel to the park with little hints of the villains all around.

The two main attractions with overlays were Pirates of the Caribbean and Space Mountain.  We opted to head towards Pirates and unfortunately didn't get to experience Space Mountain as the line never got under 30 mins all night and we just weren't willing to wait!

After adventuring with the pirates some of the agents decided it was time to start the snacking.  We tried two specialty items (from different sides of the park, they were scattered throughout).  We had a big dinner before heading over so we opted to try some drinks.  The Hades Temptation was fun but definitely on the sweet side.  The Wannabe King was a great orange-coke beverage with a fun chocolate rim!  For snacks, we opted for the free ice cream and popcorn that was readily available throughout the park!  You could also get free bottled water and sodas from these stands.

There are also ton of fun PhotoPass Magic Shots throughout the park for this event.  While they were popular, we only had to wait in line behind a few people.

As the night progressed we kept on working our way through the attractions, most rides had much shorter waits than during a regular day and some had no wait at all, like Buzz Lightyear's Space Ranger Spin!

Once we got our fill of rides and snacks, we settled in for the final showing of the Villain's Unite The Night stage show.  The show, hosted by Hades, brings together some of your favorite Disney Villains and some unique displays of power in front of Cinderella Castle.

After the show we sadly had to work our way out of the Magic Kingdom at the wee hour of just after 1am.  However, Maleficent followed us right down Main Street USA on the way out!  Seeing her at night is definitely a different spin on this awesome parade float.


The Villains bid us farewell at the end of the night which we enjoyed quite a bit!  We were able to ride multiple rides, try a few snacks, catch some photos and see the show, but there was still so much more left to do!

The Disney Fantasy took its maiden voyage in 2012 and until 2022, was the newest ship in the Disney Cruise Line fleet. Universal's Volcano Bay Private Cabana Review

On a recent training in Universal Orlando Resort, agents Maci, Ashley, Aubrey and Yaritza and I rented a private cabana for the day at Universal's Volcano Bay. There are multiple locations around the park along with the option to have an upper or lower level, all of which reflect in various pricing. Agent Ashley received an email the day before informing her of where to check-in the next morning. While we were personally escorted to the cabana shortly after check in, the line at the check in location is the same as those getting towels, meaning it was not short. As expressed by an additional guest checking into a different cabana, we would have greatly appreciated a separate line, since this caused our group about a half hour wait. We're all adults and made great use of our time getting some fun pictures before the park was filled with guests, but this is important to be aware of if you are traveling with children.  We had an upper level Cabana which came with a splendid view!

The Villas at the Disneyland Hotel Review

I love staying at the Disneyland Hotel so when I got the opportunity to stay at the new Villas at the Disneyland Hotel during opening weekend, I couldn’t pass it up. Because it was opening weekend, we were greeted in the entrance way of the lobby with balloons and many photo opportunities. When we arrived, there was a mural of the Haunted Mansion. I love how the seats in the main lobby were designed like the teacups in the parks. You can check in using the Disneyland app, drop your bags with bell services and head into the parks or use the amenities why you wait until your room is ready. When your room is ready, the resort will send you a text and you can use the Disneyland app on your mobile device to unlock the room. We dropped off our bags and went straight to the parks. We received a text around 1PM that our room was ready. In the new Discovery Tower (the Villas), you'll find that the lobby is very spacious with many places to sit while you read or wait for your family. Th
