Happily Ever After, A Disney Honeymoon

My husband and I decided to honeymoon in Walt Disney World over 10 years ago.  Even though honeymooning in Walt Disney World is very popular, we still got quizzical looks from friends and family who wondered why in the world two adults would go to the house of mouse sans children.  (Clearly they’ve underestimated the romance of watching fireworks behind the castle with the love of your life.)  For those of you considering an adults-only vacation to a Disney Park, here are a few reasons why we loved our honeymoon and some pointers for you to enjoy a kid-free vacation:  Lady and the Tramp paw prints.        1.    It’s the best of both worlds.   We are not “lay by the pool every day for a week” kind of vacationers, but we do try to maintain a balance to our schedule.  We loved being able to get up early to enjoy the attractions and embrace our young-at-heart sides.  Then in the evenings we could relax more and made sure to do things outside of the hustle and bustle of the parks

How to "Disney Up" Your Quarantine

A lot of us are in uncharted territory right now both in our personal and professional lives with social distancing and self-quarantine to help prevent the spread of the novel coronavirus. Disney Parks, Disney Cruise Line, and Adventures by Disney are all also doing their part for social distancing, temporarily suspending operations. For many of us (myself included), this was heartbreaking news that resulted in rescheduling upcoming vacations, potentially by a few months or even until next year. However, there are still ways you can put a little Disney Magic into your life at home during this time.  Here are a few things I've been doing over the past month or two to put a dose of Disney and some "vacation" relaxation into my routine. 1) Put down your phone and watch a Disney movie. Disney+ has been a game-changer on watching childhood favorites and current favorite Disney movies.  Share your favorite childhood movie with your family, or maybe there was a movie you m

But what if you want to do something besides theme parks, something with a slower pace and more relaxation? Well rest assured because Walt Disney World has so much more for guests of all ages! Here we’ll take a look at just a few of the fun things there are to do outside of the parks. Disney Springs Disney Springs is a fun, upbeat and enjoyable place for the whole family. Five Inexpensive and Easy Disney World Souvenirs

When you travel to Walt Disney World, you’ll want to commemorate your family’s vacation by taking home a little piece of the magic. By planning ahead and thinking outside the stuffed-animal-and-a-t-shirt box, you can come away with practical, unique souvenirs that remind you of your magical trip for years to come. Here are five ideas for your next trip: 1. Autographed Pillowcase Instead of buying an autograph book at the parks, plan ahead by bringing a white cotton pillowcase and Sharpie “Stained” fabric marker for characters to sign during your trip. When you return home, you can frame the pillowcase or actually use it on your pillow! This souvenir will cost about $5 depending on the type of pillowcase you purchase. (Tip: Wash, dry and iron the pillowcase before you travel, and bring a small piece of cardboard or hard-back book to place under the pillowcase when characters are signing.)  You can also do something similar with a photo mat and then frame with a photo of yo

Star Wars Day at Sea on Disney Cruise Line

Disney Cruise Line offers a truly out-of-this-galaxy themed cruise that's a must do for Star Wars fans! Star Wars Day at Sea is available on select 7-Night Caribbean cruises sailing from Port Canaveral and combines the power of the Force with a little Disney magic. Photo opportunity in the atrium I recently sailed on the Disney Fantasy and we were lucky enough to experience our first Star Wars Day at Sea sailing. We are pretty big Star Wars fans so we were very excited for everything Disney Cruise Line had in store for us on this specially themed cruise. In preparation for this cruise, we had our 3-year old son start watching the Star Wars movies and I'm happy to report that he's also a big fan now! Great photo opp with Han Solo When we first boarded the ship, I immediately noticed the additional Star Wars Day at Sea themed photo opportunities in the atrium. There was a large Star Wars Day at Sea backdrop and there was also Han Solo frozen in carbon
