On our recent Disney Cruise, we were excited to visit Tortola for the first time. We were looking for an excursion that would give us a tour of the island, provide some time for relaxation and would be something our 3 year old son would enjoy. After reviewing the Port Adventure options on the Disney Cruise Line website, we chose the Island Drive and Beach Break. After disembarking the ship, we boarded our open-air safari bus for a scenic drive around Tortola through Road Town before we ascended Ridge Road up to Sky World. Make sure to sit on the left side of the bus for the best views of your Disney ship when you're driving up Ridge Road. Unfortunately for me, I ended up on the right side of the vehicle so I struggled to grab a good picture of the ship from the top of the island. I was still able to enjoy the stunning views but I just couldn't get a perfectly composed photo. While we drove around the island, our driver gave us some history on everything that we were seeing

Planning a trip to Walt Disney World can be a large and daunting task. There are so many decisions to make- where to stay, where to eat, how much time to devote to each park, and  more. Before you can dive in to any of these details, the first step is deciding when to visit. We have many first time guests ask us when is the best time to experience Walt Disney World. While we all have personal favorites, there is no "one size fits all" answer to this question. The truth is, any time is a great time to take a Disney trip- but there are a lot of factors to take into consideration when trying to plan the perfect vacation. CROWDS One thing to consider when choosing your travel dates is the crowd level. If you would prefer to visit during a time with low crowds (meaning minimal waits at attractions), then your best bet is to stay away from holidays and school breaks.
