1900 Park Fare Review

1900 Park Fare is a buffet style restaurant located in Walt Disney World's majestic Grand Floridian Resort & Spa.  This resort is just a short monorail or boat ride from the Magic Kingdom which is located on the shores of the Seven Seas Lagoon.  As soon as you enter the Grand Floridian you are immediately swept away with the elegance of this beautiful resort.  Located on the first floor is 1900 Park Fare Restaurant with its charming display of carousel sculptures, crystal chandeliers and golden accents that adorn the two rooms used for dining.  Notice Big Bertha, a Late 1800’s Band Organ from France that sits 15 feet above the dining area.  Every so often throughout the meal she may play a little medley.


From 8am to 11am you can get a Supercalifragilistic Breakfast.  You will be transported into a wonderland of fun and good food with hosts Alice and/or The Mad Hatter.  Keep your eyes open for Mary Poppins to pay a visit.  Children may have lots of fun with their bouncy friends Tigger and Winnie the Pooh.  Sometimes other friends may stop by to have some fun too.

Everyone from the breakfast connoisseur to the pickiest eater can find a delicious dish on this all you can eat breakfast buffet.  There are some guest favorites such as Mickey shaped waffles and miniature pancakes.  You can customize your breakfast when you visit the carving station or the omelet station where you can choose what to put in your very own fresh made omelet.  You can try some lobster benedict or cold strawberry soup (Yummmmmm).  The Supercalifragilistic Breakfast cost is approximately $23 to $26 for adults and $13 to $16 for children ages 3-9.  This price does not include gratuities and prices may vary.

Instead of a lunch option, 1900 Park Fare offers a wonderful opportunity for your child to have tea with Disney Characters at the Wonderland Tea Party.  Children ages 4 to 12 years of age are invited for an hour of games, crafts, stories and decorate your own cupcakes.  Don’t have a tea drinker on your hands?  Don’t worry.  The children’s special tea tastes a whole lot like apple juice!  This is a drop off event which means parents can take this time to enjoy the luxurious Grand Floridian Resort. while their kids are entertained.  This event is held Monday thru Friday 2pm to 3pm.  The cost is approximately $42.60 per ticket.

In the evening, from 4:30 to 8:30, you can be an honored guest of Cinderella, Prince Charming, Anastasia, Drizella and Lady Tremaine at Cinderellas’ Happily Ever After Dinner.  Cinderella and her family will entertain you with jokes, laughter and dancing on the ballroom floor located in the middle of the restaurant.  You can dine on a wonderful feast consisting of strawberry soup, various salads such as watercress salad, chicken stew with jasmine rice, sushi, pasta and children's favorites too such as pizza, chicken and more.  The dinner choices are a selection of favorites from “kingdoms” around the world.  This is a great opportunity to try new dishes.  There is something for everyone on this spectacular dinner buffet.  Throughout the meal your charming dinner hosts will come and visit your table.  Prince Charming is truly a patient Prince!  He never interrupts a little girl with big stories... but he may give mom and dad a pleading look for assistance.  Anastasia and Drizella can banter unlike any sibling pair.   Lady Tremain may have to remind them to use their manners.  Cinderella looks marvelous in her blue ball gown and when she dances around the ballroom she seems to be floating on air.   The cost of the dinner is approximately $39 to $43 for adults and $20 to $22 for children ages 3-9.  This price does not include gratuities and prices may vary.

The character interactions at 1900 Park Fare are second to none.  If you are looking for a great character dining experience, 1900 Park Fare is a must!

The Villas at Disney's Grand Floridian: Studios of Big Pine Key

I didn't think Disney's Grand Floridian Resort & Spa could get any grander, but then I stayed in one of their Resort Studio rooms. These are the newest rooms at The Villas at Disney's Grand Floridian Resort & Spa. The Resort Studio rooms are located in the Big Pine Key building which is very close to the main building. The location makes it very convenient to get to the dining options and transportation. Not only is the building close to the main building but it's also across from the Courtyard Pool and Courtyard Pool Bar.
