Nine Dragons Review

Located in Epcot's Chinese Pavilion, Nine Dragons is definitely one of those Disney World restaurants that seems to fall off of the radar. Now, I'll admit, I must have passed Nine Dragon's a hundred times, and never thought to dine here. I am betting most of you are thinking the way I did; "I can get Chinese food at home", or have made ADRs (Advanced Dining Reservations for you first time visitors) only to cancel and dine elsewhere. A lot of past reviews are mixed regarding this restaurant, which I think contributed to me not dining here in the past, but I had to give Nine Dragons a fair chance. I can tell you, I'm glad we did! And....... did you know NO MSG is used in any dishes at Nine Dragon's? Neither did I! Being a fan, that was great news to me! Nine Dragons underwent a recent facelift or refurb in Disney-speak in 2009. It really is a pretty restaurant. The reception area does tend to get a bit crowded, but we were seated within fifteen minu

The Walt Disney World Monorail Express beam will be operating on a reduced schedule through to the summer of 2015. On Tuesdays and Wednesdays, from 11:30 AM to 6:00 PM, the Express beam will be closed for maintenance. During that time, the Resort and Epcot beams will continue to operate as normal. Watercraft and busses will also be operating throughout the closures. The revised schedule begins on March 10 2015. The quiet pool at Disney's Polynesian Village Resort will be closing for a major refurbishment in April. The exact dates are not available, but it is expected that the pool will close in mid April 2015 through to early January 2016. The resort's main feature pool will open prior to the closure of the quiet pool, and will bring a new pool deck, hot tub, and kids play area when it opens in April 2015. Winged Encounter has relocated to the center of the park. The perch that was previously just across from Flame Tree Barbecue is now relocated to the area in front of

Disney has finally confirmed two things we have known for some time. Soarin is getting a third theater and Toy Story Midway Mania will be getting a third track.  Opening dates are still a little fuzzy, but Disney has given us the ambiguous “late 2016” for and opening date for both Toy Story and  Soarin. Disney has also revealed that Soarin will be receiving both screen and projector updates. The smoking location near to Cinderella Castle at the Magic Kingdom has been removed. Starting February 27 2015, there will only be four available smoking locations. Near Big Thunder Mountain in Frontierland, near the entrance to Adventureland, and two on the walkway between Fantasyland and Tomorrowland (one near Storybook Circus, and the other closer to Tomorrowland). The changes will be reflected on new park maps.   Disney introducing photo identification for guests that frequently fail biometric authentication at the turnstiles.
