Disneyland Snacks

The Disneyland Resort has SO MANY unique, fun, and YUMMY snacks! I had a whole list that I wanted to try! I only got through part of my list, which was disappointing, but I guess it means I need to take another trip to try the rest!

Here are some of my favorites!

The Matterhorn Macaroon: I got this at the Jolly Holiday Bakery in Disneyland Park, which I believe is the only place you can buy this treat. It was $3.99, which was an absolute bargain. I got one and should have gotten 15, it was that good. Coconutty and light, with that touch of white chocolate. Full disclosure, I did turn it on its side and eat it like an ear of corn to distribute the white chocolate accordingly.

Choco-Smash Candy Bar & Quantum Pretzel: Several other Kingdom Konsultant agents and I shared these before a ride on Guardians of the Galaxy: Mission Breakout. These are only available at Pym’s Test Kitchen in Avenger’s Campus at Disney California Adventure. The candy bar was $7.99 and the pretzel with a side of beer cheese was $12.99. The candy bar was similar to a Snickers in taste, but better. (Because everything is better at Disney, right?) We split it between 8 of us and since it was rich, there was plenty. The pretzel was HUGE and while pretty standard, the beer cheese was delicious. The pretzel was easily shareable between several people.

Churro Toffee: A friend from home told me to try this and boy, am I glad she did. This was DELICIOUS!! Regular toffee coated in white chocolate and cinnamon sugar. The white chocolate wasn’t too sweet, and the cinnamon sugar really shined. This is available at Bing Bong’s Sweet Shop and Trolley Treats at Disney California Adventure and Pooh’s Corner in Disneyland Park. It’s a little pricey at $7.49 a square, but it’s totally worth it.

Breakfast Chimichanga: This was a Disneyland exclusive treat I had been reading about for months leading up to my trip! Agents Natalie and Ashley and I shared, and we all agreed it was a great way to start the morning, especially with some of the red salsa they give you. It could have been a touch crispier, but your mileage may vary depending on how fresh the one you get is. These are only available at a cart in Frontierland, and it was $6.99. Note these are served until 11am or until they run out, which they often do.

Banyan Beef Skewer: I have read and heard about the wonder that is Bengal Barbeque for YEARS and after trying it, my biggest question is, “Why can’t Walt Disney World get one of these treasures?” While I think Disney parks in general do a good job of not just having burgers and fries, Bengal BBQ takes theme park food a step even further with their grilled meat and vegetable skewers. They have several varieties to choose from, including beef, chicken, pork belly, vegetable and bacon-wrapped asparagus. The Banyan Beef Skewer that I tried was $6.99, and it was the spicy beef option. It was delicious. I also tried a Tiger Tail, which is a cheesy breadstick, that for some reason didn’t make it into the picture. Bengal Barbeque is in Adventureland at Disneyland Park.

Hand Dipped Corn Dog: Disneyland has some FAMOUS snacks, and the hand dipped corn dog is among them. This did NOT disappoint. It was hot and crispy and had just the right amount of breading. Believe the hype, guys. 5 stars. A few of us shared a corn dog and a cheddar cheese stick. We all liked the corn dog better, but the cheese was still delicious and a great vegetarian option. The corn dog came with a choice of a bag of Lay’s potato chips or a Cutie Mandarin and was $10.59 and the cheese stick came with the same choices for $9.79. We got these from Corn Dog Castle in Disney California Adventure, but you can also find the corn dog at Little Red Wagon in Disneyland Park for the same price. Note that the cheese stick is not available at Little Red Wagon.
