Choosing the Best Disney Cruise Room For You

Image
Inside, Ocean View, Verandah or Concierge... Decisions, decisions! Questions that just about everyone who wants to book a cruise asks when choosing their Disney Cruise stateroom are:  1.  Should we get  a balcony? 2. How bad is an inside stateroom ? 3. Is location that important? 4. Whats the best location for the cost? Unfortunately, there are no cut and dry answers and the biggest factor in this decision will be your family's own personal preferences and budget... but let's see if I can help you out! Disney Treasure Inside Stateroom Disney Cruise Line has four main stateroom categories: 1. Inside – The most affordable, and some even feature a "magical porthole" (screen) with a live video feed of the ocean and surprise Disney character appearances. 2. Oceanview – Includes a large porthole window (some have two small ones) for natural light without paying for a balcony. 3. Verandah (What Disney calls their balcony) – Perfect for morning coffee, sunrise/sunset ...

Disney's Private Island Showdown: Lookout Cay vs. Castaway Cay

Image
Disney Cruise Line has long been known for its magical experiences at sea, and its private islands are no exception. With the introduction of Lookout Cay at Lighthouse Point , Disney now offers two exclusive Bahamian destinations, each with its own unique charm. How does the newest island compare to the beloved Castaway Cay ? Let’s dive into the details! Getting Around Castaway Cay : This island is compact and easy to navigate, with trams running between key locations. Guests can step directly off the ship onto the island without needing tender boats. The tram ride to Serenity Bay takes about 5 minutes, making it a quick and convenient way to reach the adult beach. Lookout Cay : While it also has a dedicated dock, the walk from the ship to the tram station is longer than at Castaway Cay. The curved pier is half a mile long, resulting in a 10-15 minute walk. After reaching the tram station, guests board a tram that takes about 10 minutes to reach the beach and amenities area. Fortunat...

15 Must-Have Cruise Items for Your Packing List

Image
The Kingdom Konsultant Agents are avid cruisers and we have compiled our must-haves for your cruise packing list. Everyone's cruise needs are different, of course, but this is a general list of items to make your cruise more comfortable! 1. Collapsible laundry hamper and a trash bag - Keep your dirty clothes separate from your clean clothes, and off the floor. I love the pop up kind of hamper because they are cheap, and easy to pack flat in your suitcase. I empty all my dirty clothes into a trash bag before repacking my suitcase to debark the cruise. Then, when I arrive at home, I take that right to the laundry room. It also keeps the rest of my stuff smelling good. You can have your laundry done on the ship if you'd like, for a fee.  2. Luggage tag holder - You'll look like a cruise pro with a luggage tag sleeve. I used to laminate my tags with packing tape and attach them to the bag handle. This looks much neater and they are reusable too. You won't have to worry if ...

Another highlight was the incredible entertainment. Whether we were watching Broadway-caliber productions, hanging out at trivia, or learning to draw a favorite character. The level of tale...

First or Second Dining on Your Disney Cruise?

Image
When it comes to dinner, the seating time that you should select for your Disney Cruise is the one that works best for your family. Let's look at the pros and cons of both early and late dining and hopefully that will help you decide! Your show time in the main theater will be based on your dinner seating, so the schedule will work like this: First dinner seating starts at 5:45pm, and goes to the theater for their show at 8:30pm. Second seating will go to their show first, and have dinner at 8:15p.m. Many families with small children find the  second seating to be too late for little ones  to be eating, and they end up selecting the first seating. As a result, second seating typically is easier to get into, and has fewer children in the dining room . This also means that the  Oceaneer's Club tends to have their activities based on the schedule of the earlier dinner .  That's not to say that your children cannot attend if you are in the second seating, ...
