Pride Lands: Feast of the Lion King

This restaurant is exclusive to the Disney Destiny, and it’s unlike anything on any other Disney ship! Step into the heart of the savanna for a dining adventure inspired by The Lion King! This brand-new restaurant brings the magic of Africa to life with vibrant colors, rhythmic music, and even a few familiar songs that might just have you humming along. You’ll dine under a glowing “sunset sky” as servers and performers bring the story of The Lion King to the table - literally. Expect bursts of song, drumbeats, and that heart-warming Hakuna Matata spirit.

Worlds of Marvel

At Worlds of Marvel, you’ll join your favorite superheroes for an interactive dining adventure filled with humor, special effects, and heroic surprises. Dinner feels like stepping right into a Marvel movie. With appearances from Groot, Rocket, and other heroes (and a few unexpected moments on screen), it’s non-stop fun for Marvel fans of all ages.Recommend that families arrive on time- the story unfolds throughout the meal! 

Menu: Globally inspired flavors, fun presentation, and dishes designed to appeal to both kids and adults — plus some out-of-this-world desserts. 

1923

Step back into the golden age of Hollywood at 1923, named for the year The Walt Disney Company was founded. This elegant restaurant celebrates Disney’s beginnings with sketches, props, and animation memorabilia lining the walls. It’s sophisticated yet family-friendly, with a calm, nostalgic atmosphere. You’ll feel like you’ve been invited to dine in Walt and Roy Disney’s personal studio space.

Menu: California-inspired cuisine like seared steaks, fresh seafood, and classic desserts like warm chocolate fondant.

How Rotational Dining Works

  • Every guest on the Disney Destiny will enjoy all three main dining rooms during their cruise.
  • There are 2 dining times (typically 5:45 and 8:15)
  • You’ll have the same servers each night, ensuring your drinks are waiting and your kids’ preferences remembered.
  • Your rotation schedule and table number will appear in the Disney Cruise Line app before dinner each evening.
  • Want to request a certain rotation? You can tell your Kingdom Konsultant Agent, or speak Guest Services once onboard (not guaranteed, but worth asking!)
  • Families with young kids often prefer the early dinner seating, while couples and night owls enjoy the later one — both offer the same menu and show elements.

Makahiki Character Breakfast at Aulani, A Disney Resort & Spa

We had the pleasure of dining at Aulani's Makahiki breakfast and it was a delightful, delicious experience! Makahiki is a restaurant at Aulani, A Disney Resort & Spa in Ko Olina, Hawai'i. The Aulani Resort is recognizably Disney as soon as you pull into the property. Its well-manicured gardens, water features, and stunning lobby look like a Deluxe Resort at Walt Disney World.  As off-site guests to Aulani, (we stayed in Waikiki, but that's another blog) I have some helpful tips for visiting the resort, whether it be for the restaurants, the beach, or both!
