It’s All in the Disney Details - Hidden Mickeys

A not so hidden Mickey on the Grand Floridian wallpaper If you have ever been to a Disney Park, you have seen Disney’s amazing attention to detail in every attraction, restaurant and gift shop.  Those details are what sets them apart and adds that special magical quality to every Disney vacation.  The details don’t stop at the theme parks but continue throughout each and every Disney Resort.  We’ve previously taken a look at seemingly ordinary objects such as trash cans, carpets, and towels but today we look at the extraordinary…Hidden Mickeys.  From the wallpaper and carpets in the Resorts, to the queues for attractions.  Hidden Mickeys are one Disney detail that can be found anywhere and everywhere! It's All in the Disney Details - Towel Animals

We’ve previously taken a look at seemingly ordinary objects such as trash cans and carpets, and today we continue that journey into the ordinary by taking a look at towels: the animal variety, that is.   Towel animals are another example of how Disney takes something simple like a towel and gives it that extra Disney touch to make them something magical. Classic Mickey silhouette Upon arrival to your room at a Walt Disney World resort, you can expect to see the classic Mickey silhouette in towels on the bed.   It’s such a simple shape and yet it brings so much joy.   I love seeing that silhouette because it means that my Disney vacation has really begun!   I often leave the towels on the bed as long as possible because it just feels wrong to destroy Mickey, even if it is only made of towels! Creative towel animals can also be functional! Disney housekeeping - better known as Mousekeeping - keep the creations coming throughout your stay.   After a long day in the park

It’s All in the Disney Details - Carpets

If you have ever been to a Disney Park, you have seen Disney’s impeccable attention to detail in every attraction, restaurant and gift shop.   Those details are what sets them apart and adds that special magical quality to every Disney vacation.   The details don’t stop at the theme parks but continue throughout each and every Disney Resort.   Carpet at Disney's BoardWalk Resort Last time we took a look at a seemingly ordinary object, the trash can, so it should be no surprise that today, we look at another often overlooked element of every Disney Resort…the carpet.   You may think of a carpet as something you simply walk on to get to your room but it’s actually got a lot of character. The carpet in the hallway at Disney’s BoardWalk Resort continues the boardwalk theme with a design that includes a Ferris wheel and a rollercoaster.   If you look closely, you can see that Mickey is riding in the front car of the roller coaster! It's All in the Disney Details - Trash Cans

Whenever someone asks me what sets Walt Disney World apart from other theme parks, besides the great customer service and that indescribable Disney magic, I have to mention the details.  Disney does a remarkable job of transporting you from the real world to the “world of yesterday, tomorrow, and fantasy.”  From the attractions and the queues, to the resorts and the shops, the attention to detail is nothing less than amazing. Disney's BoardWalk Resort Trash Can One of the best things about a Walt Disney World vacation is that no matter how many times I visit, I find some new detail that I never noticed before.  It keeps the trips exciting year after year to explore the parks and resorts at a slower pace to really take in all the wonderful details.  On a recent trip I was on the lookout for an inspiration for a new photo series and found a very exciting new muse…trash cans.  Yes.  You read that right… I took pictures of trash cans. It was on my first solo trip that I really
