My family and I were very fortunate to travel to Paris, and we couldn’t pass up a trip to Disneyland Paris while there! We decided to stay at the Disney Newport Bay Club which is one of the property's Deluxe resort hotels. We purchased a vacation package and stayed for two nights. The amazing thing is that if you stay for 2 nights it includes a 3 day park hopper which allows you to park hop from Disneyland and Walt Disney Studios. Newport Bay Club is designed with a New England and nautical theme. It reminded me of the Yacht Club at Walt Disney World. It is a 15 minute walk to the parks which walks you straight towards their version of Downtown Disney. The walk didn't seem like it was 15 minutes away. When you arrive to the hotel, your luggage needs to go through security and you have to walk through metal detectors. The lobby is spacious and there is an indoor pool and outdoor pool. Disneyland Paris, formerly known as Euro Disney, opened on April 12, 1992. When traveling to different Disney parks, it's hard not to compare it to Disneyland in California or Walt Disney World in Florida. Each park is unique in it's own way. With so many wonderful attractions, it was a little difficult to come up with a Top 10 list. I would have picked "it's a small world", but that was closed when we were visiting. Here are my Top 10 things to do at Disneyland Park at Disneyland Paris: 10. Indiana Jones and the Temple of Peril Indiana Jones and the Temple of Peril, or Indiana Jones et le Temple du Peril in French, is a roller coaster attraction that travels up to 59 feet. This varies somewhat year to year but you can count on a parade and fireworks. Usually there is Main Street entertainment, a band and singers, a mini parade (the last one I saw was the 20th anniversary celebration train) and the main 3pm parade. Take note the main parade, much like Disneyland, runs from the north east to the south unlike Orlando. It circles the large hub and also Town Square affording maximum viewing. There are also two vast indoor theatres in Discoveryland and Adventureland, though the former has only hosted special events recently and the latter is seasonal.  Fantillusion, a nighttime parade that took the best parts of Spectromagic and the MSEP, has been dark the last year and looks likely to be in 2014 too.
