Bring a Little Disney Magic to Your Holiday Season

Image
The holiday season is one of my favorite times to visit Walt Disney World.   The weather is usually cooler and there are fewer crowds earlier in the season, but more importantly, the resorts and parks are decked out in their finest Christmas decorations.   I don’t always get the chance to visit the parks to see the decorations each holiday season but I have managed to bring a little bit of that Disney Christmas magic to my own home every year.  Here are a few ways you can bring the Disney magic home this holiday season! Decorate Your Tree with Disney Ornaments As a kid, my favorite ornaments on our tree were always the Disney ones so it is only logical that as an adult with my own Christmas tree to decorate, that I would have a tree entirely dedicated to Disney ornaments!   On each trip to Walt Disney World, I pick up a few new ornaments to add to my tree.  They are wonderful souvenirs and it’s a great way to remember our different trips!   I also frequen...

Disney Springs Christmas Tree Trail

Image
Walt Disney World at the holidays gets a lot of hype as they go all out for the season. Magic Kingdom gets Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party and Epcot gets the International Festival of the Holidays, and new this year is Jollywood Nights at Disney's Hollywood Studios. But I think the Christmas Tree Trail at Disney Springs might just be my favorite and most underrated of them all!  Disney Springs erects a bunch of beautiful themed Christmas trees throughout the area and you get to go at your own pace to check them all out. It is a great way to add a little extra cheer without having to spend any additional money! Many of the vendors at Disney Springs have seasonal offerings as well to help extend the Christmas spirit if you wish.  Here are some of my personal favorites that we have found in the past. Which are your favorites? Coco Tree Frozen Tree Star Wars Tree Black Panther Tree Toy Story Tree Disney Springs Tree (the big one!) This is a fun and free holiday activity to do ...

Very Merriest After Hours Event

Image
As the weather turns colder and spooks turn to snowflakes, it is time to revisit some festive delight that Walt Disney World has to offer.  While Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party returned in 2022, we thought it would be the perfect time to look back on the Very Merriest After Hours event that took place in 2021 as there are a few similarities. Magic Kingdom is festive throughout the day from November to December, but it takes on a whole new personality at night for the holiday events. For the Very Merriest After Hours, let's start with the included snacks.  You could get a few park favorite treats and some seasonal delights.  The lines at the start of the event for ice cream and soda were long, but they faded throughout the night and it was much easier to get snacks later on.  We enjoyed Mickey's Premium Ice Cream Bars first.  While it was December, it was still plenty warm out for ice cream!  They had a few other favorite ice cream novelties available a...

Epcot Festival of the Holidays - Part 2

Image
Since I couldn't quite get everything done at Festival in the Holidays in one day, I had to go back another time to try just a few more things!  The size of this festival is much more approachable food-wise than the Food and Wine Festival since there are fewer booths, but I'd only really had a half day to squeeze in everything. If you started at opening, you could probably get it all done in one day if you tried!  Read more about my first day here .  First up, a holiday classic, roasted chestnuts from Chestnuts and Good Cheer.  We decided we didn't like chestnuts, whoops! They also had a variety of other roasted nuts to choose from along with hot chocolate and eggnog. Next we headed over to a popular festival favorite, Mexico for Las Posadas Holiday Kitchen.  We got a few things to try here but agreed we liked the food better than the drinks this time around. Both the savory options were simply delicious!  Giant Tostada de Chorizo: Chorizo served on a...
