Review: ALL NEW Breakfast at Cape May Cafe

Hey there, Disney Fans! Ok, who here has been missing some of the fan-favorite Disney restaurants since COVID? I know my family has! Well, good news! Just last week, Cape May Cafe at Disney's Beach Club Resort reopened, with a whole new style to its menu, and I got to check it out. We made a reservation and were SO excited to return to Disney dining! Like many of the Disney buffet options, Cape May has kept the all-you-care-to-eat style but has switched to the more sanitary and safer family-style service instead of a buffet line. This way, the server is bringing the food right to your table, instead of Guests standing in a line, passing by serving trays of food and potentially touching/sneezing on/contaminating stuff that's about to go on your plate. Way better, if you ask me. (It should also be noted that there are currently NO characters at this location.) So what's on the menu now???  As soon as you are called to the podium for your reservation, a Cast Member will walk y

Review: The I Lava You Float and Fried Potstickers

Hey there, Disney Friends! Ready for a tasty snack review? This one is a two-for-one since both of the items are at the same location, the Sunshine Tree Terrace in Adventureland at the Magic Kingdom. We've got a beverage for you, as well as a snack!  First up, who doesn't LOVE Pixar's animated short "Lava"? We adore it in this house and it's still one of my son's favorite songs to fall asleep to. Of course, we HAD to try the "I Lava You" Float ! This colorful float starts with strawberry Fanta soda and is topped with a generous portion of orange-flavored Dole Whip. The swirl is then topped with a drizzle of passion fruit syrup and red popping candy. The whole thing looks like molten lava, (and it's especially clever how Disney even manages to make it hot out so that the lava begins melting as soon as you get it! 😉).  And it's not just pretty folks, it's pretty tasty too! I wasn't sure how I would feel about it, since I am not wi

Why Are We NOT Talking About This Snack???

Hey there, Disney Fans!!! It's me, Jenn... back from quarantine! My Orlando-based family and I have spent the last 14 months in a pretty strict lock-down, due to my and my son's vulnerability to COVID. It's been a weird  year. That doesn't even cover it. It's been downright BIZARRE, but it is so nice to start to see a light at the end of the tunnel, as more of our country gets vaccinated.  We chose to give up our Disney Annual Passes back in May of 2020, because we knew we wouldn't feel safe being in the parks. Man, did we miss Disney, though! We would even occasionally drive onto property just to see those red, purple and teal directional signs, the naked monorail beam, or the still Tower of Terror billboard on World Drive.  So what was the first  thing we did when The Hubs and I were fully vaccinated??? Get our Annual Passes back, of course! We have been back in the parks and active for about the past 3 weeks and we have been having so much fun appreciating al

Getting the Most Out of Mickey's Not So Scary Halloween Party

If you have ever done  any  research about a trip to Walt Disney World in the Fall, I am sure that you have heard of a little something called  "Mickey's Not So Scary Halloween Party."  What is MNSSHP, you ask? Well, it is a special, hard ticketed event at the Magic Kingdom, occurring a couple of times per week, on designated dates starting in late August running through the end of October.  Commonly, these dates fall on Tuesdays, Fridays and Sundays with Thursdays getting added in October.  There are occasionally some Mondays as well and of course Halloween night!  The party admission is NOT included on a regular Magic Kingdom ticket. In fact, if you are visiting the Magic Kingdom on a night that the Halloween Party is scheduled to  take place, be prepared that if you do not have tickets to the party, you will be escorted out of the park, promptly at 7pm. Wristbands are given out to clearly identify paying party guests. Party tickets run $85-$149 per adult and $80-
