Stepping into Super Nintendo World at Universal Orlando's Epic Universe feels like walking straight into the Mushroom Kingdom. The bright colors, the music, the moving coins overhead is so immersive! The main place to eat here is the Toadstool Café, where Chef Toad himself is serving up themed dishes that the whole family will love. My kids loved watching the Toads hard at work "making our food" on the screens.

How cute is this!? |
Once you enter, you can sit anywhere you'd like, and scan the QR code on the table to begin placing your order. If you're going to split the check, each person needs to order on their own Universal App. It saves time if you have your payment method loaded onto your app before your trip. You can also start your mobile order before you get to the restaurant, and hit "I'm here make my food," and enter the table number on your order once you sit down. They have Freestyle Machines for drink purchases, and you can get complimentary water there too.
The restaurant is absolutely adorable! From the moment you walk in, you’re surrounded by whimsical details that make you feel like part of the game. Through the “windows,” you can watch the Mushroom Kingdom come alive, with Toads bustling about and occasional appearances from other familiar faces. The screens, sounds, and theming are next-level.
We arrived pretty late, 8:00 p.m. and as you can see from the picture, it was dead in there. It was so nice to not wait in line, and our food came out in 13 minutes! I love dining outside "traditional" dining times.
We shared the following dishes family style:
Toadstool Cheesy Garlic Knots (Two Orders!)
Mini mushroom-shaped knots brushed with garlic butter, parmesan cheese, and parsley, served with a side of marinara. These were the perfect starter—warm, soft, and loaded with garlicky goodness.
Luigi Burger (it's really a Chicken Sandwich)
Grilled chicken, basil pesto, Swiss cheese, green pepper and spinach served on a brioche bun with a side of truffle French fries. The pesto added such a bright flavor, and the chicken was perfectly cooked.
Yoshi’s Fettuccine Alfredo
Fettuccine pasta tossed in a creamy Alfredo sauce, topped with broccoli, mushrooms and grilled chicken. It’s a great choice to split with someone. It's delicious and filling. It has a cute little bread Yoshi egg.
Mt. Beanpole Cake
Chocolate, vanilla, and strawberry layered cake topped with a light matcha mousse.
We couldn’t resist this one because it’s just too cute to pass up. It was too expensive for the size. I wish it were bigger!
Some other menu items include:
Fire Flower Spaghetti and Meatballs
Spaghetti with a spicy mushroom marinara sauce, meatballs, Fire Flower parmesan crisp, shaved parmesan, and chopped parsley
Super Mushroom Pizza Bowl
Mozzarella, sausage, pepperoni, and mushroom marinara sauce topped with a Super Mushroom pizza crust
Bowser's Fireball Challenge
1 lb. spicy meatball topped with mozzarella cheese served with a fiery mushroom marinara sauce, Bowser puff pastry, parsley, and hot sauce on the side
Super Star Chicken Salad
Romaine and cabbage mix, tomatoes, and mushrooms tossed in creamy mushroom truffle dressing topped with parmesan Super Star, star croutons, and grilled chicken
Princess Peach's Cake
Yellow cake and whipped topping, with strawberries, raspberries, apples, sprinkles, topped with star chocolates and star cookie with a Princess Peach cookie for 3 to 4
Mario Burger
All beef patty, bacon, mushrooms, lettuce, tomato, Thousand Island dressing, and American cheese served on a brioche bun with a side of truffle French fries

We finished eating and still had time to ride Yoshi (again!) and then we got on Mario Kart 5 minutes before park closing! Overall, we enjoyed our meal at Toadstool Café in Epic Universe. Between the adorable setting, flavorful food, and fun atmosphere, this restaurant is a must-do for Mario fans of all ages!
