A Muggles Guide to the Ministry of Magic at Epic Universe

If you’ve ever dreamed of strolling through the cobblestone streets of 1920s Paris, casting spells with your wand, or catching a Niffler red-handed with stolen jewels, the new Wizarding World – Harry Potter & The Ministry of Magic at Universal's Epic Universe is your portal to the magical life. I had the chance to explore this enchanting land, and let me tell you—it's packed with magical creatures, immersive detail, and some sneaky hidden gems even Muggles can appreciate. I am a big fan of the Fantastic Beast franchise and it's characters. I love that those movies have their own place at Universal now. If you’re a true Potterhead, don’t rush though this land! The little details and Easter eggs make it feel like you’re inside the Wizarding World. The windows are alive and you should take your time exploring them. They’re full of movement and magical creatures you will recognize from the films. Kowalski's creations in the window ๐ŸฐKowalski’s Bakery window is especiall...

๐Ÿช„5 Must-Try Bites at Epic Universe (And a Few To Skip)

Between dragon dens, dark castles, and toadstools, we tried lots of good food at Epic Universe. Some bites were so good I’m still dreaming about them. Others, not so much. Here are 5 things we loved at Epic Universe (plus a few side notes of what we didn't.) ๐Ÿ‰ 1. Meatlug’s Chicken Bowl – Spit Fyre Grill (Isle of Berk) Spit Fyre Grill is a counter service spot near the ride Fyre Drill. You can mobile order or walk up to order at the window. The Chicken bowl? Absolute fire. Meatlug knows what’s up. It was savory, and flavorful and just felt right in Berk.  It was a chicken breast on a stick, with a delicious drizzle of paprika sauce, grilled brussel sprouts, roasted red peppers, shredded cheddar, and ancient grains. Healthy, but satistfying! I also tried the Rekorderlig Strawberry-Lime Cider, it’s basically summer in a cup. Highly recommend if you like your drinks sweet and a little sparkly.  Meatlugs Chicken Bowl & Cider  Meatlugs Bowl SpitFyre Grill seating area Stoi...

Helios Grand Hotel: Everything You Need to Know + Photos

If you’re planning a visit to Universal’s Epic Universe and want a stay that feels just as magical as the parks themselves, then Helios Grand Hotel is the place to be. I recently stayed there and couldn’t wait to spill all the details. From gorgeous rooms to exclusive perks and great views this resort exceeded my expectations in some ways - and surprised me in others. Helios is located adjacent to the new park, but furhter away from the original two Universal Orlando parks.  Lobby Desk ๐ŸŒŸ Theme: Mediterranean Magic with Modern Luxury Helios has a stunning Greek-Mediterranean theme that feels both upscale and relaxing.  The hotel is one main building with only 500 rooms, not a resort style layout with multiple wings or buildings. There is one pool, within close proximity to the back of the resort. There are ample loungers, umbrellas, complimentary towels, sunscreen, and cold water. They have roaming servers to bring you drinks as well. The pool has a zero entry area for kid...
