My family and I were very fortunate to travel to Paris, and we couldn’t pass up a trip to Disneyland Paris while there! We decided to stay at the Disney Newport Bay Club which is one of the property's Deluxe resort hotels. We purchased a vacation package and stayed for two nights. The amazing thing is that if you stay for 2 nights it includes a 3 day park hopper which allows you to park hop from Disneyland and Walt Disney Studios. Newport Bay Club is designed with a New England and nautical theme. It reminded me of the Yacht Club at Walt Disney World. It is a 15 minute walk to the parks which walks you straight towards their version of Downtown Disney. The walk didn't seem like it was 15 minutes away. When you arrive to the hotel, your luggage needs to go through security and you have to walk through metal detectors. The lobby is spacious and there is an indoor pool and outdoor pool. Disneyland Paris, formerly known as Euro Disney, opened on April 12, 1992. When traveling to different Disney parks, it's hard not to compare it to Disneyland in California or Walt Disney World in Florida. Each park is unique in it's own way. With so many wonderful attractions, it was a little difficult to come up with a Top 10 list. I would have picked "it's a small world", but that was closed when we were visiting. If you have been to Disneyland in the past couple years, you may have seen Disneyland's most recent "FastPass" system. For those that have been traveling to Disneyland, it is similar to the Max Pass that was introduced before the pandemic. What is Disney Genie service? Disney's Genie service is a free planning tool that guides you through the Disneyland park while providing tips to help plan your day. Guests can find the Genie service on the Disneyland app. The Genie service was released on December of 2021 shortly after Walt Disney World released their version. The free Genie service acts like your very own virtual assistant and lists forecasted wait times, where you can mobile order, manage check-in and dining reservations. As one enters the park at Disneyland, click on the "My Genie Day" part of the app. When it opens, you can click on Tip Board. I love staying at the Disneyland Hotel so when I got the opportunity to stay at the new Villas at the Disneyland Hotel during opening weekend, I couldn’t pass it up. Because it was opening weekend, we were greeted in the entrance way of the lobby with balloons and many photo opportunities. When we arrived, there was a mural of the Haunted Mansion. I love how the seats in the main lobby were designed like the teacups in the parks. You can check in using the Disneyland app, drop your bags with bell services and head into the parks or use the amenities why you wait until your room is ready. When your room is ready, the resort will send you a text and you can use the Disneyland app on your mobile device to unlock the room. We dropped off our bags and went straight to the parks. We received a text around 1PM that our room was ready.
