Flying Fish Review

Flying Fish is one of my favorite little restaurants on Disney's BoardWalk. It’s my go to for a grown ups night out! The menu changes occasionally but each time I go back, I'm glad I did. Full disclosure, I am not a big fish person, but I love their nori bread and also enjoy the lobster with squid ink pasta.  The aesthetic is sleek dark blues and greys, with an impressive hanging glass work of art. It's enjoyable to have a view of my meal being made as well. Comments I’ve heard while introducing friends and family to Flying Fish include “These are the best scallops I’ve ever had” and “I wish this appetizer came in a meal portion. I want to lick the plate.” It’s environment is snazzy enough to dress up for, and comfortable enough to stop by last minute in your standard, laid back park attire. It is a signature dining experience however, so no swimsuits, tank tops, or flip flops are allowed. It’s not uncommon for me to notice a last minute reservation available, so if I’m nea

Be Our Guest Restaurant Review

Be Our Guest Restaurant, inspired by Disney's Beauty and the Beast, quickly became one of the most popular restaurants in Magic Kingdom after it opened in 2012.  It has changed a few times since then, and is now a Signature Dining, 3-course prix fixe menu for lunch and dinner (no longer serving breakfast).  The Beast hosts this meal since it is his castle, but it is not  a character dining meal and you won't be able to get photos or autographs with the host. Since it's one of our most asked about dining experiences, we wanted to give it a nice thorough review for you! Be Our Guest is located in New Fantasyland and is quite a beautiful establishment with Beast's Castle up in the distance.  As a table service restaurant that is always busy, advanced dining reservations are highly recommended.  Although if you are willing to eat at off times, we have seen walk up availability available around 4-5pm sometimes! I love the carvings around the

Gluten Free Palo Brunch Review

On a December 2022 cruise on the Disney Magic, I enjoyed brunch at Palo with a dear friend who happens to be gluten free. Here is everything she ate and her thoughts on each item. At the time of writing, Palo brunch is $45 per person for an all you care to enjoy, course based meal that can be ordered off a menu. There is a dress code for this adult only dining experience, but I noticed the clothing choices were more casual during brunch vs dinner. We went with the suggested order and started with a complimentary glass of champagne, bread service, and charcuterie boards. She chose the seafood based charcuterie, and her bread service was a flatbread with pesto. For those in the know, the gluten free rolls in the main dining rooms on Disney cruises are delicious, fluffy rolls that are at times better than the regular rolls. This pesto flatbread was really good and without being told they were gluten free, we would have been none the wiser. There were enough for me to indulge in a couple a

Remy Brunch Review

On a recent Disney Cruise with a dear friend, we treated ourselves to a brunch at Remy. At the time of writing, this adult only dining option starts at $75 per person. There is a dress code and even at brunch guests definitely dress up for this dining experience. We got all gussied up after rolling out of the oh so comfortable beds on the Disney Fantasy, and went upstairs.  We were quickly escorted to our seat while being given a brief synopsis of the history of the restaurant. Our table had a lovely water view and if one looked hard enough, a small amount of the AquaDuck! We were given a water menu and asked what kind we would like. Simply put, if I am going to indulge in a beverage during an already expensive meal, it's going to be an adult libation nine times out of ten. For that reason, I told our server that I would be happy with tap and so did my dining companion who whispered in my ear she could not justify $15 on breakfast water. We were quickly served complimentary champag

California Grill 50th Anniversary Celebration Menu

Keepsake menu from California Grill In honor of Walt Disney World's 50th Anniversary, the California Grill at Disney's Contemporary Resort is offering a special, limited-time menu to celebrate. The special menu revisits some past favorites from the original Top of the World restaurant that opened in 1971 to new market-fresh creations. It's a dining experience "50 years in the making" and in my humble opinion, is a must-do for Disney foodies out there! The 50th Anniversary Celebration menu is a 3-course meal so you'll want to arrive to your reservation hungry! Guests can choose one appetizer from the Market Inspirations, one entree from the Chef's Journey, and one dessert from the Sweet Creations section of the special menu. For our dining experience, we dined with four adults and one child so we were able to try a nice assortment of the different menu options.  For our appetizers, we ordered two of the California Grill Sushi Classics Trio, a Lobster and Pa
