You can visit Star Wars : Galaxy's Edge at Disney's Hollywood Studios at Walt Disney World in Florida and at Disneyland Park in California. For this post, we're focusing on Walt Disney World's version of the land. It's hard to visit Galaxy's Edge without feeling totally immersed in the Star Wars galaxy. From unique attractions to dining and shopping opportunities, this galaxy has it all! ATTRACTIONS Millennium Falcon: Smugglers Run Take control of the fastest ship in the galaxy! Oga's Cantina at Walt Disney World

Star Wars : Galaxy's Edge has been extremely popular at Walt Disney World since it opened at Disney's Hollywood Studios in 2019.  One of our favorite spots in this new area is Oga's Cantina, a very popular lounge where you can get all kinds of fun drinks and take in the atmosphere of Batuu's hot spot. Space inside Oga's is limited so advance reservations are highly recommend and can be made up to 60 days in advance. Even with an advance reservation, be prepared to wait in line outside a bit before being let in. Oga's Cantina is open for breakfast, lunch and dinner and reservations are recommended for all meal periods. The small location offers a wide variety of both alcoholic and non-alcoholic cocktails that are out of this world.  They also offer a very limited selection of bar bites.  The snacks aren't enough for a meal but they are a tasty option if you need something to eat while you enjoy your cocktails. Docking Bay 7 Food and Cargo

To fully immerse yourself in Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge at Disney's Hollywood Studios, you must stop by Docking Bay 7 Food and Cargo. Careful as you may run into some who don’t want to allow passage into the Docking Bay! Once safely inside, you are surrounded by travelers from all over the galaxy! We dined on Endorian Fried Chicken and Batuuan Beef Pot Roast. The Tip Yip was everyone’s favorite! We opted for the children’s meal since we were not sure if our 5 year old traveler would enjoy these worldly offerings. He did...and nearly ate it all himself! I guess battling the dark side will do that to a young padawan! For dessert, we had the Batuu-Bon which was also a favorite! The specialty drink options change seasonally! You never know what surprises you will get when you are exploring this part of the galaxy! Tips for Scoring a Star Wars: Rise of the Resistance Boarding Group

*Starting September 23, 2021, Disney will pause the use of virtual queue for Star Wars : Rise of the Resistance at Disney's Hollywood Studios. Guests may experience this attraction using a traditional standby queue for the first time. The virtual queue may be used at Star Wars: Rise of the Resistance at a later date, or from time to time. Star Wars : Rise of the Resistance is an attraction like we've never seen before with multiple ride systems and is a truly thrilling, one of a kind experience. No spoilers here (aside from some pictures), but this attraction is absolutely amazing! Unfortunately, it can also be challenging to actually get to experience. Rise of the Resistance is currently the only Walt Disney World attraction that requires guests to join a virtual queue. There is no standby line (until September 23, 2021), FastPass+ or Single Rider Line available at this time. (This was true even before COVID-19.) So, how do you join this virtual queue and get assigned to a bo

Droid Depot at the Walt Disney World Resort

If you love R2-D2 and BB-8, you'll love visiting the Droid Depot at  Star Wars : Galaxy's Edge at Disney's Hollywood Studios.  The Droid Depot gives guests the opportunity to build their very own droid! The Droid Depot is Black Spire Outpost's industrial workshop filled with parts, chips, manuals, and tools to build a custom Astromech Unit. When you arrive at the Depot, you'll have the choice between building a BB-series unit or R-series unit. Once you make your selection, the clerk will provide you with a basket that includes a blueprint to design your droid. When my son and I visited, we opted to make a BB Unit.  After you've made your series selection, you'll make your way over to the Parts Station. This is where you'll gather the parts for your droid. You'll see a variety of parts pass by on the conveyor belt and each part is available in an assortment of colors. Look at the blueprint on the bottom of your basket to determine which parts you need
