Oga's Cantina at Walt Disney World

Star Wars: Galaxy's Edge has been crazy popular at Walt Disney World since it opened in 2019.  One of our favorite spots in this new land is Oga's Cantina, a very popular lounge where you can get all kinds of fun drinks and take in the atmosphere of Batuu's hot spot.

Space inside Oga's is limited so advanced reservations are highly recommend and can be made up to 180 days in advance. Even with an advanced reservation, we waited in line outside a bit before we were let in. Oga's Cantina is open for breakfast, lunch and dinner and reservations are recommended for all meal periods.

The small location offers a wide variety of both alcoholic and non-alcoholic cocktails that are out of this world.  They also offer a very limited selection of bar bites that vary depending on the meal period.  Here is a sneak peek at the morning menus.  The souvenir mugs are definitely adorable but will be a hit to the wallet if you want to purchase them with their respective drinks.

If you are a smaller party, you should be prepared to be seated with other parties at a table or standing at a high top or the bar.  With limited space, no seat goes empty here for long. In fact, most of the Cantina is standing room only at high top tables or the bar.  It definitely gives it that "space bar" type vibe. Due to the location's popularity, your visit to Oga's is limited to 45 minutes per party.

We tried the lava roll and a variety of beverages on my last trip there during the breakfast meal period.  The lava roll is big enough to share if you are just looking for a few bites to munch on.  My favorite beverage was the Fuzzy Tauntaun because it was just so unique with the "Buzz Button Tingling" foam.  It was great fun to have everyone try it and see the reaction on their faces as the tingles set in!

Fuzzy Tauntaun: Cîroc Peach Vodka, Bols Peach Schnapps, Simply® Orange with Tangerine, Pure Cane Sugar, and "Buzz Button Tingling" Foam
Bloody Rancor: Tito's Handmade Vodka, Ancho Reyes Chile Liqueur, Spicy Bloody Mary Mix, and Rancor Bone
Jedi Mind Trick: Ketel One Botanical Grapefruit and Rose Vodka, John D. Taylor's Velvet Falernum, Bols Blue Curaçao, White Grape Juice, Lime Juice, and Grapefruit Bitters
One of my favorite parts of visiting Oga's Cantina is the atmosphere. The details inside are amazing and really make you feel like you've traveled to another galaxy. The staff really bring the theme home with their customer interactions. While you enjoy your drinks, you can also enjoy some entertainment from droid DJ R-3X. You may recognize him as a former Starspeeder 3000 pilot.

Paddlefish Restaurant at Disney Springs

After arriving in Walt Disney World around dinnertime with no reservations on our latest trip, we headed over to Disney Springs to see what was available and Paddlefish caught our eye with the beautiful boat shining on the water.  There was space for us at the bar where they serve the full menu, so we settled right in for what was about to be a delicious dinner. We started with cocktails and were very impressed by not only the cocktail selection, but also the bartender's knowledge and expertise on the menu to guide us through our selections tonight.  At the recommendation of the staff, we had to give the Lobster Corn Dogs a try for our appetizer.  These were so fun and very delicious (and I don't normally like lobster!) They are most like a corn dog in that they are on a stick, but don't let that stop you from giving these a try.  Next up it was time for our entrees, we both opted for options "from the port" since we were in a seafood inspired restaurant, we could

Disney's Caribbean Beach Resort

Disney's Caribbean Beach Resort brings the easygoing vibe of the Caribbean to the Walt Disney World Resort. At this Moderate Resort, guests will enjoy vibrant colors and lush landscapes, all while Calypso music plays in the background. This relaxing paradise has 5 building areas, referred to as villages, and each village is themed after a different Caribbean island: Barbados, Jamaica, Martinique, Trinidad and Aruba. Old Port Royale is the resort's "port of entry" and is where you'll find the check-in desk, lobby concierge, and bell services. It's also the home to Calypso Trading Post, the resort's gift shop, and Centertown Market, the resort's main quick service option and a Grab & Go market.  In addition to Centertown Market, Old Port Royale is also where you'll find the resort's table service restaurant, Sebastian's Bistro. The restaurant offers casual dining with family style dishes featuring Latin and Caribbean flavors. Sebastian
