Chefs de France Review

Bonjour mon amie and come right in to a beautiful restaurant hidden in plain site in France of Epcot’s World Showcase. This is a place that I’ve walked past thousands of times, but thought I wouldn’t enjoy it or it’s too pricey, but when I finally visited, I was proved wrong.
This beautiful restaurant is actually quite large inside, well-lit and appears to be quite fancy even though I’m definitely dressed for an amusement park, not an upscale bistro. Everything on the menu is written in French, but don’t fret because they also have the wording in English directly underneath.
When you have options such as Beef Tenderloin, Braised Pork Shank, Seared Salmon, Rotisserie Chicken half or the famous Ratatouille for entrees, it really was hard to decide what we wanted to eat. There were so many incredible options that we decided to get the “Menu Francois,” or price fix menu, which included an Appetizer, one of five of the Entree options on the regular menu, a dessert and one glass of Chardonnay or Cabernet Sauvignon Georses Duboeuf. Yes, you read that correctly. The prix fixe menu INCLUDED an alcoholic drink. I’m not a huge wine drinker so I thought this was a great opportunity to learn what I may like or not like.
While we waited for our meal, the waiter brought us a warm baguette and butter to eat. The bread was so soft and fresh that we ate it fairly quickly.
For the appetizer, my husband ordered the Cassolette d'escargots de Bourgogne au beurre persillé (or escargots baked in parsley & garlic butter.) He said they were incredible and wish he could’ve had more.

I wasn’t sure what to choose so the waiter recommended the Salade de chèvre chaud (or Baked goat cheese with walnuts, grapes, tomatoes, endives and mixed greens.) When in doubt, always ask for a recommendation! That salad was sooo good! I loved the combination of greens, tomatoes & grapes with the vinaigrette dressing, but the baked goat cheese on top was a surprise of tastiness.

For our entrees, I chose the Filet de Saumon with peas & carrots and a bed of rice. The salmon was cooked perfectly and tasted scrumptious without any fishy taste that some people try to avoid. My husband ordered the Boeuf Bourguignon with carrots and mashed potatoes. He said the meat was very tender and tasted similar to a pot roast.

For dessert, I had the tarte au chocolat Vairhona, clace à la vanille (chocolate tarte with chocolate mousse and vanilla ice cream). OH. MY. WORD. It was so rich and delicious and that it was worth every calorie I shouldn’t have had. My husband ordered the Gateau auy adrumes crôme fraice citron vert. fruits rouses (citrus cake with strawberry-lime cream and berries compote). It was a light and refreshing dessert that he enjoyed, but I think he wished he had mine.

Overall, we loved this restaurant. We were sat quickly, had a fabulous waiter and ate some of the best food we have ever had at Epcot. The next time you are planning to come to this park, I highly suggest you come and enjoy this place as well.

The Villas at Disney's Grand Floridian: Studios of Big Pine Key

I didn't think Disney's Grand Floridian Resort & Spa could get any grander, but then I stayed in one of their Resort Studio rooms. These are the newest rooms at The Villas at Disney's Grand Floridian Resort & Spa. The Resort Studio rooms are located in the Big Pine Key building which is very close to the main building. The location makes it very convenient to get to the dining options and transportation. Not only is the building close to the main building but it's also across from the Courtyard Pool and Courtyard Pool Bar. Resort Studio rooms are located in the Big Pine Key building When you enter Big Pine Key, you're greeted with a simply lovely lobby. The furniture is super cute and gives off a very cozy, chic vibe. There's lots of pastel colors with floral prints and touches of nature. Universal's Volcano Bay Private Cabana Review

On a recent training in Universal Orlando Resort, the agents rented a private cabana for the day at Universal's Volcano Bay. There are multiple locations around the park along with the option to have an upper or lower level, all of which reflect in various pricing. We received an email the day before informing her of where to check-in the next morning. While we were personally escorted to the cabana shortly after check in, the line at the check in location is the same as those getting towels, meaning it was not short. As expressed by an additional guest checking into a different cabana, we would have greatly appreciated a separate line, since this caused our group about a half hour wait. We're all adults and made great use of our time getting some fun pictures before the park was filled with guests, but this is important to be aware of if you are traveling with children.  We had an upper level Cabana which came with a splendid view! We arrived to a welcome basket of various fr...

Cruising with a Baby: A Complete Guide

You took a baby on a cruise!? Yep, and I'd do it again knowing what I know now. So, say goodbye to months of research - Everything you need to know is here!! One of the biggest challenges of traveling with a baby is planning what you need to bring. I wanted to share what worked for us, and hopefully help others who are planning their cruise! Remember, babies can only cruise after their 6-month birthday on sailings from the U.S. If you are going transatlantic, or have more than three days out at sea, they must be 12 months old by the first day of your cruise. Pre-Cruise   We flew to the cruise port, and I couldn’t bring all the food and snacks I needed, so I placed an Instacart order for pick up near the port. I chose Publix in Cocoa Beach which is a few miles from Port Canaveral. I placed the order a few days before we left home, and set the pickup time to 11:00 a.m. I ordered formula, a box of diapers, swim diapers, bottle brush, dish soap, baby food, and baby snacks. I also broug...
