Photo Tour: Character Cavalcades

While traditional character meet and greets are not currently happening at Walt Disney World, I'm actually a huge fan of the Character Cavalcades that have popped up in the mean time.  These are randomly occurring events throughout the day in each park, so it is just a little extra burst of magic! Magic Kingdom In the Magic Kingdom you'll find a variety of characters ranging from Princess royalty to Fantasyland favorites.  The best place to catch these cavalcades is in Liberty Square, the Hub or Main Street. Epcot Epcot is another great place for Princess spotting and you can catch Mickey and Minnie in a fun World Showcase themed car.  These characters can be found around World Showcase.  Hollywood Studios If you're looking for Pixar pals, look no further than Disney's Hollywood Studios, the best place to catch these friends is along Hollywood Boulevard.  Animal Kingdom In Animal Kingdom, the characters float by around the Tree of Life.  You can catch favorites from The

Character Dining 101

Character dining at Walt Disney World is incredibly popular and for good reason. The characters make their way around the room and stop at each table to mingle with the guests. The whole family can take pictures with the characters, get an autograph or just chat it up with their favorite characters. It’s a great way to meet characters without having to stand in line and you get to enjoy a meal while you do it! Talk about an excellent use of multitasking! Below is a list of all of the character dining restaurants, their locations, type of food offered, which meals offer a character dining experience, and which characters you can expect to see at the restaurant. Please note that this list was accurate at the time of posting but character appearances are subject to change. A True-Life Disney Holiday Magical Moment

Happy Holidays, Disney Fans!!!      Well, the big day is fast approaching and my kids are buzzing with excitement. We went into the parks this past weekend, to squeeze in some holiday fun, (and to get in the last visit of 2017, since our passes are now blocked out). We will still be on property plenty over holiday vacation, visiting Disney Springs, the resorts, etc, so I'll get my Disney fix, but no park access makes me sad! The good news is, when my passes start working again, Festival of the Arts will be getting geared up over at Epcot, so I'll have that to look forward to!      Today I want to share with you a magical, wonderful, true-life Disney story, perfect for the holiday season. This is not my typical post, but this season calls for something unusual and special. It's easy to get cynical this time of year, with all of the commercialism and whatnot, so it's important to take those moments to appreciate true holiday magic when we can find it. I hesita

5 Tips to Make Your Character Experience More Magical

Hey there, hi there, ho there, guys and gals! Doc took the Littles for a stroll      Today I want to talk to you about characters, and specifically how to maximize your interactions with the characters and make them as enjoyable and memorable as possible. Take it from someone who still tears up almost  every  time she is in the presence of a larger-than-life animated mouse... Meeting a favorite Disney character can be an Earth-shattering experience to a kid, (or even someone who once  was  a kid). It may seem like something that doesn't need a whole lot of explanation or preparation, but there are absolutely ways that you can make or break your experience interacting with the characters. Allow me to shed some light. Here are my top tips on having an awesome character experience: 1.  Take It From Scar...   Be Prepared (You just sang that, didn't you?)      There are super fun ways to prepare for meeting the characters before your trip, including  watching movies

A Guide to Meeting the Princesses at Walt Disney World

One of the best experiences at Walt Disney World is meeting your favorite characters and Disney royalty. Autographs from the Princesses are my daughter's most cherished souvenirs.  Here are the Princesses' Current Locations*: Pro Tip  – Princess Fairytale Hall and Ariel's Grotto offer Lightning Lane! If you are using Disney Genie+ during your visit to Magic Kingdom and the lines are long, utilize it for characters and Princesses. Snow White  – Epcot's World Showcase, in the Germany Pavilion, and at Cinderella's Royal Table and Akershus Royal Banquet Hall. You can meet her at Storybook Dining at Artist Point, Disney's Wilderness Lodge. Guests have met her at Town Square Theater in Magic Kingdom as well. Jasmine  – Magic Kingdom in Adventureland where she appears with Aladdin near the Magic Carpet Ride, and occasionally at Akershus Royal Banquet
