Top 10 Must Do's at Epcot

On October 1, 1982, Epcot opened as the second park in Walt Disney World. The park spans over 300 acres and has four distinct areas: World Celebration, World Discovery, World Nature and World Showcase. World Celebration, World Discovery and World Nature feature attractions that embrace a global community, technological innovations, and our incredible planet. World Showcase is home to pavilions representing 11 countries: Canada, United Kingdom, France, Morocco, Japan, the United States, Italy, Germany, China, Norway and Mexico. Epcot is an acronym for Experimental Prototype Community of Tomorrow.  Although Walt Disney's original concept for Epcot didn't come to life, the park embraces his idea of ingenuity and imagination.  The park offers a unique experience of being educational and entertaining.  It's a hard task to accomplish but I think Disney does it well!  Here's my list of the top ten Must Do's at Epcot.  10. Planning Hack - 4 Best Times to Visit Walt Disney World

One of the biggest questions I get as a Disney travel planner is "what time of year should we visit Walt Disney World?" I give clients my suggestion on the four best times to visit Walt Disney World, and I've visited during each of these times. I've also visited outside of these dates and I've concluded that these times of the year have more benefits than other times. If you're going to spend the money, time and effort to plan the perfect vacation, it's worth it to go during one of these times. 1. Late January - If you don't like the Florida heat, this is the perfect time to go. Also, the Epcot International Festival of the Arts is happening during this time. The temps can  be unpredictable so make sure you pack a variety of clothing options and layers. Swimming is hit-or-miss in January. Crowd levels and resort room prices are low to moderate.  The Epcot International Festival of the Arts 2. Early May - It's hot, but the summer heat hasn't

The holiday season is an extra magical time to visit the Walt Disney World Resort. One special event only available during the holiday season is Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party at the Magic Kingdom. Celebrate the season with a special Christmastime fireworks show, parade, stage shows, dance parties, treats and more! This special event takes place on select nights from early November until a few days before Christmas.  Know Before You Go In 2022, Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party will take place on 24 select nights from November 8th through December 22, and ticket prices vary by date. In 2022, prices ranged from $149-$199 per guest ages 10 and up and $139-$189 for guests ages 3-9, excluding tax.  It's very important to know before arriving at the Magic Kingdom that this is a separately ticketed event which means that your general admission ticket does not include admission to this party. Each party night the Magic Kingdom will close at 6pm to day guests and the party o

Epcot Festivals 101

I finally achieved a lifelong goal of mine, to attend each and every one of Epcot's festivals in the same year (there are four, and I'm not local!) And now that I've successfully done each one, I wanted to give a run down of the basics of each festival to help you plan your next trip to the one that suits you best! Epcot International Festival of the Arts Season: Winter Focus: Art in all forms Food: Food Studios that display food as art Foodie stroll: Color Walk Entertainment: Disney on Broadway For Kids: Paint the mural and other hands-on art activities This festival is the first of the calendar year, running from mid-January to late February but wrapping up before spring (and Spring Break crowds) really hit Florida.  The focus for this festival is art, artists and color! It is also the newest festival, so it seems like they are still really solidifying it which is exciting to see how it changes year after year.  This festival brings some of the most beautiful food, but do

Epcot International Festival of the Arts 2022

The Epcot International Festival of the Arts is a combination of numerous displays of art through food, music, visual art and even art you take home to enjoy for years to come. I came to this event only one other time a couple of years ago and have been dying to come back ever since. We moved to Florida this past summer so now was my chance & I got to share my excitement with my husband.  They don’t open any of the booths until 11am so we had a little time to get an Art Festival gift card wristlet. It helps me to have that band so I don’t have to pull out a credit card every time I want to eat.  By the time I bought it and added money to it, the booths were open so off we went. We started at the “Deconstructed Dish” booth with the deconstructed BLT and the deconstructed Key Lime Pie. We weren’t that impressed with the BLT, thinking it was kind of plain with each piece separated, but we loved the Key Lime pie.  The next food booth we ate at was the Encanto Cocina, between France a
