A Taste of the United Kingdom Without Crossing the Pond

Rose & Crown Pub & Dining Room is the table service restaurant located in the United Kingdom Pavilion of the World Showcase at Epcot. From the outside, it looks like a small pub since there is a bar located in the front of the building. To the side are gardens with views of the water but hidden behind both is a fantastic restaurant greatly overlooked.

There is a small indoor dining area but the majority of the seating is outside overlooking the lagoon and World Showcase. There is an upper and lower eating area, both covered. Not known to many is that the Rose & Crown was one of the few table service restaurants at World Showcase where you could see the evening fireworks show while dining. Make your dining reservation for 7:30 pm or later and you can enjoy it from the comfort of your table. But keep in mind that you must request an outdoor table when you check in at the podium. (Fireworks are currently suspended at this time.)

The menu offers samplings from all over the UK. Appetizers include Scotch Egg which is a fried hardboiled egg wrapped in sausage meat with a mustard sauce, a cheese platter, soup and salad.

Entrees include Rose & Crown’s signature dish of traditional beer battered Fish and Chips, Chicken Masala Curry and other regional favorites. Items served with the dishes vary from seasonal vegetables, to cheddar mashed potatoes and rice. You can also get side orders of Mushy Peas or traditional Bubble and Squeak.

For dessert there are once again English favorites, sticky toffee pudding or English trifle.  You really can't go wrong with either!

On the menu under the entrée descriptions are also drink recommendations but your server will be happy to make suggestions as well. My favorite beverage is called a Cider and Black which is an apple cider with black current juice.

*Updated September 2020. In-park dining at table-service restaurants requires a park reservation and valid admission for the same park on the same date for each person in your party ages 3 and up. Dining reservations do not guarantee admission to the park.
