Sailing Disney Cruise Line Without Kids: A Relaxing and Indulgent Escape

Disney Cruise Line is often celebrated as the ultimate family vacation, but what if you set sail without kids? As seasoned travelers, we discovered a side of Disney magic designed for adults—full of sophistication, relaxation, and delightful experiences. From indulgent spa days to competitive trivia nights, this cruise proved that Disney caters to guests of all ages with its signature touch of excellence.

The Disney Difference: Service, Entertainment, and Magic for All

One thing that stood out on our voyage was the exceptional service from the cast and crew. Whether it was the friendly bartenders remembering our favorite drinks, attentive servers making every meal special, or the crew at the adults-only pool ensuring a peaceful retreat, Disney’s commitment to hospitality was evident at every turn.

Another highlight was the incredible entertainment. Whether we were watching Broadway-caliber productions, hanging out at trivia, or learning to draw a favorite character. The level of talent, storytelling, and engagement is a must for any Disney cruiser. And Pirates IN the Caribbean is a treat for all ages.

Serenity in Paradise: Adult-Exclusive Areas on Private Islands

An adults-only trip to one of Disney’s private islands would not be complete without a visit to Serenity Bay. This pristine, adults-only beach was the perfect escape from the lively family areas. With a variety of seating options, bartenders serving refreshing tropical drinks, and the peaceful sound of waves hitting the shore, Serenity Bay felt like a hidden oasis.

A Culinary Delight: Dining at Palo

A Disney cruise without kids means dining at Palo, the elegant adults-only Italian restaurant. This was a highlight of our trip, offering exquisite dishes like perfectly cooked filet mignon and the famous chocolate soufflé. We were able to enjoy both dinner and brunch on our three night cruise. The ambiance was intimate, the service impeccable, and the cuisine undeniably gourmet—a true standout experience that added a touch of romance and indulgence to our journey.

Relaxation and Rejuvenation: Spa, Coffee, and Pools

For ultimate relaxation, the Senses Spa provided a sanctuary of tranquility. Whether enjoying a deep-tissue massage or taking advantage of the fitness center with ocean views, this space was ideal for both unwinding and staying active.

Coffee lovers like us found delight in Cove Café, a cozy retreat serving handcrafted espresso drinks, teas, and pastries. It was the perfect way to start the morning or enjoy an afternoon pick-me-up while soaking in the calming sea views.

Meanwhile, the adults-only pool remained a peaceful retreat. Crew members ensured that the 18+ age limit was respected, maintaining the serene atmosphere for those looking to escape the bustling family areas.

Cruising with a Baby: A Complete Guide

You took a baby on a cruise!? Yep, and I'd do it again knowing what I know now. So, say goodbye to months of research - Everything you need to know is here!! One of the biggest challenges of traveling with a baby is planning what you need to bring. I wanted to share what worked for us, and hopefully help others who are planning their cruise! Remember, babies can only cruise after their 6-month birthday on sailings from the U.S. If you are going transatlantic, or have more than three days out at sea, they must be 12 months old by the first day of your cruise. Pre-Cruise   We flew to the cruise port, and I couldn’t bring all the food and snacks I needed, so I placed an Instacart order for pick up near the port. I chose Publix in Cocoa Beach which is a few miles from Port Canaveral. I placed the order a few days before we left home, and set the pickup time to 11:00 a.m. I ordered formula, a box of diapers, swim diapers, bottle brush, dish soap, baby food, and baby snacks. I also broug...
