Five Fabulous Quick Service Meals at Walt Disney World

Cheesecake, Wolfgang Puck Express When planning a Walt Disney World vacation, many guests (myself included) obsess over which restaurants to visit.  With so many fantastic options, Disney dining has become as much a part of the overall vacation experience as the rides and resorts.  Most of the attention goes to table service locations, as reservations can be made 180 days ahead of time and available tables quickly fill up.     Today I am going to spend some time talking about their often overlooked little brother: quick service dining locations.  While they do not get as much attention as table service restaurants, they all have the trademark Disney attention to detail and theming, and a wide variety of delicious food options.   Cupcakes at Starring Rolls Starring Rolls CafĂ©, Disney’s Hollywood Studios Located near the corner of Hollywood and Sunset Boulevard, this is a fantastic place to grab a pastry and people watch.   This is a small restaurant with no ind

Disneyland Paris.... Strangely Familiar But Very Different.

World of Disney The Disneyland Paris (DLP) resort is about 4800 acres in total, though less than half is a developed vacation resort. The main area (parks and hotels) is best described as like Disneyland Resort in size and scope. 6 resort hotels, shopping village, two parks, golf, campsite and partner (non Disney) hotels. The main Disney area is compact enough to be walkable, but big enough not to be cramped. Unlike the American resorts DLP is quite remote for visitors, being about 40 minutes from Paris by Metro train and 30 minutes from Charles de Gaulle airport by coach. The hotels have their own parking lots, and the parks both share one huge surface lot that has covered moving sidewalks in lieu of parking trams for transport to the gates. It's also worth noting the Disney hotels are all a 10-30 minute stroll to the parks, or a free for guests shuttle bus service constantly serves each resort hotel to the bus station adjacent to the park entrances. Epcot Must-Do Experiences for a First Time Visitor!

One of Walt's biggest dreams for his Florida Project was the Experimental Prototype Community of Tomorrow, also known as Epcot.  Here dreams of the future have taken place and come true since it's opening day October 1, 1982.  Now, over 40 years later, Epcot is still delighting guests with its unique experiences and attractions.  Everyone who visits will find something they love, whether it be a high-speed attraction in World Celebration or a stroll through the countries in World Showcase.  Today I want to shed some light on some must-dos for guests visiting Epcot for the first time! Travel in Time When you hear the name Epcot, chances are the image of a giant, silver geodesic sphere come to mind.  While many people refer to it as the giant golf ball, Spaceship Earth is the park's icon, and does it ever make itself present!  Standing tall and proud at the front of the park, it's unmissable.  Some people are surprised to find out that there is actually a ride inside o

It’s All in the Disney Details - Carpets

If you have ever been to a Disney Park, you have seen Disney’s impeccable attention to detail in every attraction, restaurant and gift shop.   Those details are what sets them apart and adds that special magical quality to every Disney vacation.   The details don’t stop at the theme parks but continue throughout each and every Disney Resort.   Carpet at Disney's BoardWalk Resort Last time we took a look at a seemingly ordinary object, the trash can, so it should be no surprise that today, we look at another often overlooked element of every Disney Resort…the carpet.   You may think of a carpet as something you simply walk on to get to your room but it’s actually got a lot of character. The carpet in the hallway at Disney’s BoardWalk Resort continues the boardwalk theme with a design that includes a Ferris wheel and a rollercoaster.   If you look closely, you can see that Mickey is riding in the front car of the roller coaster!
