Pirates of the Caribbean is scheduled to close for a major refurbishment later this year. The closure will begin on May 11 and will run through to September 25, reopening to guests on September 26 2015. Pirates of the Caribbean is experiencing a number of show and ride system issues that require a lengthy closure. Animatronic issues, show audio problems, and continuing issues with boats taking on water are all likely to be addressed.
Stitch's Great Escape at the Magic Kingdom will also be closed for refurbishment on March 1 and 2 2015.
The 2015 Epcot International Flower and Garden Festival is just around the corner and Disney has released all the menus at the World Showcase Outdoor Kitchens.

Cape May Cafe Review

It’s hard to believe that I’m old enough for this next statement to be true:  The first time I ate at Cape May Café was 20 years ago!  A few things have changed in those 20 years, but overall it remains one of my favorite spots to dine in all of Walt Disney World.

Cape May Café is located at Disney’s Beach Club Resort, and serves breakfast and dinner.  Breakfast is an all you care to eat buffet—and a character meal!  Usually you can find Minnie Mouse, Goofy and Donald Duck decked out in their finest beach attire.  Dinner is an all you care to eat New England style clambake.  Characters do not appear at dinner.

While I’ve dined at Cape May Café numerous times for both meals, on this most recent trip we just did dinner there, and per usual, it did not disappoint.  I had made an advance reservation for our party of 2, but I do think that Cape May Café is one of the easier restaurants at Walt Disney World to walk up to and get a table.  We were staying at Disney’s Port Orleans Riverside…

Whether you're looking for a relaxing getaway or an exciting adventure, you can find it all while you cruise in the comfort and style of these beautiful

These latest honors represent the best-of-the best in the industry and are based entirely on the opinions of cruisers who sailed in 2014 and posted their reviews and personal experiences on Crui…

Construction walls are now up inside the Space Mountain gift store, with the former arcade area completely walled off along the entire length of the store. The phone charger outlets remain accessible, along with the massage chairs and the photo booth kiosks. Disney has also filed construction permits …

California Grill Review

When I'm asked to recommend a *special occasion* restaurant at Disney World, one of my top choices is California Grill. The *make you feel special* experience, happens before you enter the restaurant! The check-in desk is located on the second floor of Disney's Contemporary Resort. Once checked in, you are guided to an elevator, specific for California Grill patrons and taken to the 15th floor of the resort, where you are met by a host/hostess and lead to your table.
We were lucky enough to get a table that offered a perfect view of Magic Kingdom. Just a side note: when booking your reservations, request a table overlooking Magic Kingdom, but remember, they will do their best to accommodate you, but there is no guarantee.
California Grill is one of Disney World's Signature restaurants, so proper attire is required.
We started our meal with a couple of cocktails

Who else is guilty of this?

The new Starbucks at Disney's Animal Kingdom has been under construction for the past few months at the former Creature Comforts store on the Discovery Island walkway to Africa. Disney has also shared a piece of concept art of the interior, which remains very faithful to the theme of the area.

Peter Pan's Flight at the Magic Kingdom will be closed for a short, 2 day refurbishment in early March 2015. The Fantasyland ride will close on March 5 through to March 6.
Buzz Lightyear’s Space Ranger Spin at the Magic Kingdom is also scheduled to be closed for a short 2 day refurbishment in March 2015. The closure begins on March 4 through to March 5.
Tomorrowland Arcade, the Magic Kingdom's video game attraction, has now permanently closed. Located at the exit of Space Mountain, February 9 2015 was the final day of operation for the Tomorrowland Arcade, with no indication of what may replace it.

Chefs de France Review

Have you ever wondered what it would be like to dine at a cafe in the middle of Paris, France? Epcot's Chefs de France restaurant will give you a very good idea of what that's like. Although the tables are a bit close together, the high ceilings and full length windows overlooking the World Showcase give this restaurant an airy and open feel.

When most of us think of French cuisine, visions of frog legs, escargot and eclairs come to mind. Nope, not one frog leg on the menu! However, I did hear several patrons claim the Cassolette d'escargots de Bourgogne au beurre persille  were divine.

We started our meal with several appetizers:
Soupe a l'aignon gratinee (French onion soup)

I will be the first to admit:  I love onion soup, and this did not disappoint. Usually, onion soup here in the States is topped with Provolone or some other cheese the Chef deems fitting. This version is topped with a wonderfully creamy Gruyere cheese and made on premise french bread. I know, right…
