Welcome to the latest edition of Ears the News Brought to you by our friends at
The France pavilion's Palais du Cinéma will reopen Friday January 17 with an updated Impressions de France movie and an all new “Beauty and the Beast Sing-Along” directed and produced by Don Hahn, producer of the animated and live-action “Beauty and the Beast” films.

Along with the new sing-along and upgrade of Impressions de France to 4K projection is a new
exhibit inside Palais du Cinéma. “Tales as Old as Time: French Storytelling on Stage and Screen” offers six distinct gallery cases featuring a collection of costumes, music, artwork and more, all dedicated to the adaptation of French literature in cinema, theater, ballet and opera.

The exhibit reinforces how French literature has inspired artists from around the globe, including those who created timeless Disney classics such as “Sleeping Beauty,” “Cinderella” and, of course, “Beauty and the Beast.” Items on display from the Walt Disne…

Jaleo Restaurant Review

Jaleo is one of the newest restaurants at Disney Springs and has quickly become a favorite of many.  It is a tapas-focused restaurant from Chef José Andrés and is considered Signature Dining by Disney (2 table service credits on the Disney Dining Plan).  Since this is a tapas restaurant, the Disney Dining Plan can get a little confusing for the entrees and appetizers.  On the Disney Dining Plan, each diner can get two regular tapas OR one tapa that "serves two" OR one plated dish OR one plated pallea. If you are on the Disney Deluxe Dining Plan, you can select one of the options above, plus an additional tapa.

First let's take in the restaurant's atmosphere and decor.  The building greets you with pops of red as you approach.  Once inside, there's a nice open feeling with a lounge area to the left and the main dining area to the right.  There are some interesting tables to be found, with one having a Foosball table underneath!

We started our tapas experience with…

Disney Cruise Line Onboard Activities

Whenever I tell people that I am going on a Disney Cruise, I always get asked the same question; “What is there to do on a Disney Cruise?” A better question to ask would be “What isn’t there to do on a Disney Cruise!” Before my first Disney Cruise, I was worried that I may get bored and that there wouldn’t be enough activities to keep me entertained. Boy, was I wrong! Disney Cruise Line offers an enormous array of onboard activities for the entire family to enjoy.

There are pools, youth activities, and nightclubs to name a few. How do you know what activities are happening when, you ask? Well, you find out by looking at your handy dandy Personal Navigator! You can access the Personal Navigator through the Disney Cruise Line app or get paper copies from Guest Services. Every day on your cruise, the Personal Navigator is jam packed with onboard activities from morning until night. There are so many activities available that it is impossible for me to list each and every activity in …

Set Sail for Fun in the Sun at Disney’s Yacht and Beach Club Resort

If you’re looking for a resort with a great location, numerous dining opportunities and an amazing pool, look no further than Disney’s Yacht and Beach Club Resorts.  Although two separate deluxe resorts, they share a turn of the century New England style theme along with many amenities.  They also share a spectacular location next to Crescent Lake.

One of the best features of these resorts is, without a doubt, their location.  With over 1,000 guest rooms combined, the Yacht and Beach Club Resorts are a short walk away from Epcot’s International Gateway, Disney’s Boardwalk Resort area, Walt Disney World Swan and Dolphin resort and a short boat ride away from Disney’s Hollywood Studios. It’s hard to beat that location!

With its pastel blue exterior and seaside details in the lobby and guest rooms, Disney’s Beach Club Resort gives off a very family friendly vibe.  Rooms offer three separate views; standard, garden and lagoon or pool view.  Most standard rooms sleep up to five people with t…

How to Choose the Right Stateroom for your Family on Disney Cruise Line

Disney Cruise Line staterooms are among the first in the industry to be made specifically with families in mind but how do you choose the right stateroom for your family?  I'm glad you asked!  There are many things to consider before choosing your stateroom like how many people will be cruising with you and how much time you plan on spending in your room.  Here are some questions you should ask yourself that will help you determine which stateroom is right for you and your family.

How many people will be joining you on the cruise?  If you are traveling with 3 to 4 guests, you won't have any trouble finding a stateroom that fits your needs.  You can choose from the Inside Staterooms all the way up to the suites and have plenty of room for your family.  If you are traveling with a larger party, it may seem like there are less options but there are, in fact, many options for you as well!  The largest stateroom on the Magic & Wonder sleeps up to 7 and the largest stateroom on t…
