Port Orleans Resort - French Quarter

You can find more pictures of this resort by clicking here . Port Orleans Resort - French Quarter is a fun and exciting resort with a touch of romance.  When you first arrive, you are greeted by a colorfully dressed doorman who opens the wonderful world of the French Quarter.  Here you will find surprises around every corner; all you have to do is look closely.  The lobby is a wide open space with magnificent iron work, a beautiful fountain and a touch of the Mardi Gras theme. Soft openings for the general public have finally begun for the Seven Dwarfs Mine Train coaster . For those of you not familiar with what a “soft opening” is, here is a quick breakdown of what is going on: A soft opening is the final stage of test and adjust where regular guests are allowed to ride an attraction. The hours of operation can vary wildly and absolutely nothing is guaranteed. The attraction might open at 11:00 AM and the close at 11:06. It could run all day or it might not open at all. Currently, the attraction has been open for mere minutes at a time, but we can expect those time to start increasing until it runs from open to close just like the other attractions. You will need to be prepared for sudden closures…even if you have been in line for an hour. They are just all a part of soft openings The Seven Dwarfs Mine Train will most likely stay in soft opening status until the official opening on May 28 th . Disney has also started running a new commercial

Gluten Free Experience at Be Our Guest Restaurant

Dining at Be Our Guest for table service is truly a magical experience.   We chose to celebrate our 14 th wedding anniversary there because Beauty and the Beast is my very favorite Disney movie, and we had not had the chance to dine there yet.   We have always appreciated how Disney has treated our family’s celiac disease, but Be Our Guest really exceeded our expectations!   We arrived about 15 minutes before our reservation, and checked in at the kiosk, making sure to mention our food restrictions again.  Once our name was called, the dining experience began.   They gave us a candelabra to carry down to the door.  The table was set so beautifully!   Just the details in this alone won us over on this restaurant.  We were all reluctant to unfold the rose napkins. It only got better from there.   Normally, when restaurants serve bread, they bring out gluten free rolls that taste like cardboard.   Not at Be Our Guest.   These rolls were light, fluffy, and all-together
