Exciting Disney World Activities Outside of the Parks

Have you ever wondered what there is to do around The Walt Disney World Resort beside visit the Theme Parks or shop at Disney Springs? There are so many great recreational activities right on property. If your family is ready to step outside the parks and see what other fun excursions are offered, check out this list of ideas: Golf Tee off at one of Disney’s three award winning, Arnold Palmer designed, 18-hole courses - Disney’s Lake Buena Vista, Disney’s Magnolia, or Disney’s Palm Golf Course. Disney’s Oak Trail Golf Course is a 9-hole course which is great for families or beginners. Golf instructional clinics are available for both adults and juniors, as well as personal lessons with a PGA qualified instructor.  The use of a golf cart is included in your greens fee for the 3 large courses. Mel's Drive-In at Universal Studios Florida

Take a step back in time to the 1950s with a quick service meal at Mel's Drive-In. Located in the Hollywood section of Universal Studios Florida, this  American Graffiti -inspired 50s drive-in features oldies on the jukebox and has a fleet of vintage cars parked out front. Inside you'll find vinyl booths with tabletop jukeboxes and there's also outdoor seating options. This retro restaurant serves up classic diner fare for lunch and dinner like burgers and fries, chicken fingers, onion rings and milkshakes. You'll also find one of the 20 Coca-Cola Freestyle locations at this restaurant. If you haven't already, you can purchase a Coca-Cola Freestyle Souvenir Cup that gives you refills throughout the day or you can add an extra day of refills to your already purchased Freestyle Souvenir Cup. Planet Hollywood is located in Disney Springs, and you can't miss it - it looks like an observatory with it's huge domed roof. If you're looking for a memorable and lively restaurant, check this place out! Movie lovers and TV show buffs will love seeing all the authentic Hollywood props. There are so many dining choices at Disney Springs, but if you have kids or teens, I suggest Planet Hollywood! High School Musical Props - Go Wildcats! Reasons why you will love dining here: 1. There wasn't a wait time. We were a few minutes early for our reservation, and they sat us right away. We were having a good time before we even got to the table. A Frozen song was blasting, the bass was pumping, and we got to browse some props from famous movies on our way up the stairs such as Dorothy's dress from The Wizard of Oz .  2.
