Top 3 Reasons to Dine at Beaches & Cream Soda Shop

Ice cream on a hot Disney day is a special kind of magic! As much as I love a good ol Mickey Bar or sundae from The Plaza, if I want to be extra about my ice cream experience, I head over to Beaches & Cream. (Non-dairy frozen dessert options are also offered at this restaurant.) Recently renovated and expanded, this adorable restaurant is located at Disney's Beach Club Resort. Listed below are three reasons you might want a reservation at this "soda shop vibe" restaurant.

You want to experience the kitchen sink:
Ordering the Kitchen Sink really is an event. Check out the video below for what you can expect:

I personally recommend the chocolate kitchen sink. As fun as the original is, I once had a fruit bite mixed with mint chocolate chip that was not quite a delight. Whatever combo you get with the chocolate, it should blend well.

You want an insta worthy shake:
There are several restaurants on WDW property that offer milkshakes topped with extra goodies, but none are located in such a cute environment. If you’re looking for a precious Disney date, go split one of their milkshakes!

You want some casual comfort food:
I usually order the grilled cheese and tomato soup, or the chili & cheese tots if I’m in the mood for something savory. There is a selection of burgers (plant and meat based) and sandwiches as well. This is a must do on my personal Disney trips if I’m staying at any of the BoardWalk area resorts. If I’m staying elsewhere, I usually just stop by for a chilly treat.

That’s the scoop on Beaches & Cream! I enjoyed writing this a whole waffle lot.

Cruising with a Baby: A Complete Guide

You took a baby on a cruise!? Yep, and I'd do it again knowing what I know now. So, say goodbye to months of research - Everything you need to know is here!! One of the biggest challenges of traveling with a baby is planning what you need to bring. I wanted to share what worked for us, and hopefully help others who are planning their cruise! Remember, babies can only cruise after their 6-month birthday on sailings from the U.S. If you are going transatlantic, or have more than three days out at sea, they must be 12 months old by the first day of your cruise. Pre-Cruise   We flew to the cruise port, and I couldn’t bring all the food and snacks I needed, so I placed an Instacart order for pick up near the port. I chose Publix in Cocoa Beach which is a few miles from Port Canaveral. I placed the order a few days before we left home, and set the pickup time to 11:00 a.m. I ordered formula, a box of diapers, swim diapers, bottle brush, dish soap, baby food, and baby snacks. I also broug...

Universal's Volcano Bay Private Cabana Review

On a recent training in Universal Orlando Resort, the agents rented a private cabana for the day at Universal's Volcano Bay. There are multiple locations around the park along with the option to have an upper or lower level, all of which reflect in various pricing. We received an email the day before informing her of where to check-in the next morning. While we were personally escorted to the cabana shortly after check in, the line at the check in location is the same as those getting towels, meaning it was not short. As expressed by an additional guest checking into a different cabana, we would have greatly appreciated a separate line, since this caused our group about a half hour wait. We're all adults and made great use of our time getting some fun pictures before the park was filled with guests, but this is important to be aware of if you are traveling with children.  We had an upper level Cabana which came with a splendid view! We arrived to a welcome basket of various fr...

Arendelle: A Frozen Dining Adventure on the Disney Wish

For the first time in forever you can enjoy a Frozen-themed dining experience! Arendelle: A Frozen Dining Adventure is one of the three rotational dining rooms aboard the Disney Wish on Disney Cruise Line. It's a must-do experience for Frozen fans! Not only will you enjoy a dinner worth melting for but you'll also enjoy enchanting musical performances and get to see some of your favorite Frozen friends.  The restaurant transports you to the Kingdom of Arendelle where Queen Anna and Kristoff are celebrating their engagement. Some of my favorite details in this restaurant are located in the hallway when you enter. There are so many cute nods to the movie. "Hang in there, Joan" The hallway is also where you will find the restrooms and some of the super cute restroom signs on the ship! (Seriously, the Disney Wish has SO many cute restroom signs! You may think I'm crazy for noticing restroom signs but it's hard to ignore when they are this cute. You have to admit t...
