Droid Depot at the Walt Disney World Resort

If you love R2-D2 and BB-8, you'll love visiting the Droid Depot at  Star Wars : Galaxy's Edge at Disney's Hollywood Studios.  The Droid Depot gives guests the opportunity to build their very own droid! The Droid Depot is Black Spire Outpost's industrial workshop filled with parts, chips, manuals, and tools to build a custom Astromech Unit. When you arrive at the Depot, you'll have the choice between building a BB-series unit or R-series unit. Once you make your selection, the clerk will provide you with a basket that includes a blueprint to design your droid. When my son and I visited, we opted to make a BB Unit.  After you've made your series selection, you'll make your way over to the Parts Station. This is where you'll gather the parts for your droid. You'll see a variety of parts pass by on the conveyor belt and each part is available in an assortment of colors. Look at the blueprint on the bottom of your basket to determine which parts you need...

Cinderella's Royal Table

When it is a little prince or princess’s first time dining at Cinderella’s Castle, you know it is going to be a special day!    Upon entering Cinderella Castle, you are in awe of its grandness. Every time I come here, I am still taken with the breathtaking details and beauty of this castle. And of course, I am most thrilled to see my two favorite characters, Jaq and Gus-Gus, hanging out in the castle, keeping a watchful eye over Cinderella.  Do you see Jaq and Gus-Gus? Those who dine here will begin their experience with a photo and an opportunity to meet with Cinderella. Once formally introduced to our host, you will be escorted up the grand staircase to your dining area. After receiving wishing stars, wands, and swords, dinner will begin. Cinderella, of course, did not invite you here to dine alone. On this particular evening, we had the honor of meeting Rapunzel, Aurora, Snow White and Ariel*! Cinderella’s friends may change from time to time. They are busy princ...

Shark Encounter: Most Exciting Excursion in Nassau

Looking for an adrenaline rush? The most unforgettable excursion I've experienced was in Nassau with Stuart Cove's Dive Bahamas. They offer snorkeling, scuba diving, fishing, SNUBA, personal submarines, and ship wreck dives.   Contrary to popular belief, staying on the cruise ship in Nassau is a big mistake ! There's an entire day worth of fascinating sites, food, history and wildlife to discover on New Providence Island, especially below the surface of the water.  Whether you've tried snorkeling, or this is your first time, they will train you with professionalism and expertise. No experience is required, but it will be an advantage to you if you have been snorkeling before. This company has been featured on The Discovery Channel and in many documentaries since 1979 when Stuart opened his dive shop. Once you disembark your cruise ship, Stuart Cove's will pick you up in a marked van at a designated spot, and take you on a scenic and informative ride across the islan...

Fast Food Boulevard at Universal Studios Florida

Fast Food Boulevard is located in the Springfield section of Universal Studios Florida at Universal Orlando Resort and is a must-do for any Simpsons fan!  This home to several quick-service dining locations has something for everyone. It is a great stop that will make everyone's belly happy even if you aren't a die-hard fan. The food choices range from the famous Krusty Buger to pizza, from fried fish to salad, and even specialty non-alcoholic beverages and plenty in between. If the variety of food options wasn't enough to entice you, the theming is on point and you feel like you've walked into an episode of the Simpsons.  I especially love to sit in Moe's Tavern because it just gives me those Homer Simpson vibes and is a little smaller and out of the hustle and bustle of the main area. One of my favorite details is the mural of all the Simpsons characters on the wall, it's just amazing! And a great backdrop for a beverage or two.   At Luigi's you will find ...

World Showcase Spotlight: Germany

This installment of World Showcase Spotlight features a favorite pavilion--Germany! You will find Germany situated between the Outpost and Italy pavilion. With beautiful potted flowers throughout, gorgeous architecture and the delicious smell of caramel treats, this quaint pavilion is an easy place to sit and relax for a little bit. The Germany Pavilion is home to a few stores where guests can buy everything from apparel and toys to steins and ornaments.  Die Weihnachts Ecke is a must visit store for any Christmas lover. Hand blown glass ornaments of all shapes and colors decorate the walls and trees within the store. The pickle ornament tree is also a hit, so make sure to stop and read the story of the pickle ornament if you are unfamiliar with this tradition! Stein Haus is where you’ll find beer steins, as you could probably guess! There is also some other fun merchandise such as t-shirts, etc… Next door to Stein Haus is Weinkeller.  Here you will find German wines, wi...

Tutto Gusto Wine Cellar

Tutto Gusto Wine Cellar is my favorite hidden secret in Epcot's World Showcase, and today I'm going to share it with you! This little wine bar is tucked away between Tutto Italia and Via Napoli in the back left of the Italy Pavilion.  You can't make reservations and can only walk up and wait for a table to be available to enjoy this little piece of Italian paradise.   Once inside, you are transported away from the hustle and bustle of the parks with the dark woods and beautiful bar full of wine selections. If you aren't in the mood for wine, they also offer beer and cocktails.  On this particular trip, we opted for the Italian version of a Long Island Iced Tea and a prosecco. Both were wonderful!  If you can't quite decide what you'd like to enjoy, they offer a variety of wine flights as well to allow you to taste a variety and pick out your favorite (or taste another flight, we aren't judging!)  While you don't have to eat here to enjoy, we like to stop...
