Disney's Grand Floridian Resort: Where Magic Meets Luxury

Classic. Elegant. Luxurious. The list can go on and on when describing Disney's Grand Floridian Resort. This is a place where Victorian charm is seamlessly blended with modern elegance, with a touch of magic. Often referred to as Disney's flagship resort, the Grand Floridian is the perfect choice for guests who want to experience the best Disney has to offer in resort amenities. What Disney does best is tell stories, and with this resort, the Imagineers did an amazing job of immersing guests in a world of charming details. Walking through the pathways, you'll feel lost in the turn-of-the-century hotel that celebrates the golden age of travel. The attention to detail is stunning. For example, as you're walking through the main lobby, look down; you might recognize a few friendly faces hidden throughout the marble floor! ROOMS The rooms at the Grand Floridian are among the largest standard rooms on property. At an average of 448 square feet, there is plenty of space ...

Universal's Cabana Bay Beach Resort

Universal's Cabana Bay Beach Resort is bursting with amenities that could honestly make it the perfect spot for a stay-cation all on its own, but you are also just minutes away from the Universal Orlando Resort theme parks! Universal Resorts are split into four main categories, and this one is classified as a Prime Value hotel, but you get so much bang for your buck here. The retro theme is fun and bright giving major mid-century vibes.  It is fun for kids but sophisticated enough for adults as well.   Let's start with the rooms.  I adore that you can get family suites here that are affordable and give you a bit of extra space and kitchenette area.  Honestly, just myself and my husband stayed in this larger room and it was wonderful to have the separation to get some work done without disturbing him while he slept in. We also made use of the mini fridge and microwave to have breakfasts in our room throughout the weekend, saving time and money! The variety ...

Wilderness Cabins at Disney's Fort Wilderness Resort

In the heart of Walt Disney World, you'll find Disney's Fort Wilderness Resort & Campground. Although the resort is a quick 10-minute boat ride to the Magic Kingdom, you'll feel far removed from the bustling crowds while nestled on 750 acres of lush pine trees. The resort evokes the timeless beauty of the American frontier and is filled with scenic woodland trails, wildlife, and unique recreation.  Disney's Fort Wilderness Resort has two sections; the Campsites and the Cabins. If you're looking to connect with the great outdoors but still enjoy all the conveniences of home, a Wilderness Cabin might be the perfect choice for your next Walt Disney World vacation!  My family and I recently stayed in a Wilderness Cabin and we were really pleased with our experience. The cabins are filled with rustic charm and tons of wonderful wilderness touches. My favorites were some of the light fixtures in the bedroom and kitchen area.  Beary cute light fixtures above the kitche...

Disney's Contemporary Resort Review

There are many sophisticated resorts in the world, but how many of them have a magical monorail running through them transporting you to the Magic Kingdom? Disney's Contemporary Resort is where you can find modern elegance with a sprinkling of pixie dust, and an abundance of the classic Disney service, quality, and storytelling. If you've never been to Walt Disney World, or simply aren't sure which one is the Contemporary Resort, I can almost guarantee you can recognize it. As a kid, this was always "the hotel that the monorail goes through" to me. As one of the two original resorts, the A-frame body of the tower is a classic icon representing WDW resorts. It is a wonderful place to stay, visit, shop, play, and eat (I prefer all of the above!). LOCATION and TRANSPORTATION The first thing you'll notice, besides the distinguishable shape of this resort, is its location. While it's impossible to pick the best feature of the Contemporary, the proximity t...
