Halloween at Disneyland

The Disneyland Resort in California really does the spooky season right in my opinion. Starting September 1st both parks and Downtown Disney transform into a fall and spooky paradise. There is décor galore, special food to try and seasonal overlays and entertainment. While Oogie Boogie Bash is a separately ticketed event, you can still get plenty of Halloween festivities without attending the party.  Let’s start with Disneyland Park . A giant Mickey pumpkin greets you as you enter the park, bunting and florals are all oranges and fall tones, and the fireworks and projection show are the Halloween version every night, no separate party necessary. There’s seasonal treats at numerous locations to try, but that’s not all. My personal favorite thing (and the queue length suggests it is a favorite for many) is the Haunted Mansion Holiday overlay which inserts The Nightmare Before Christmas into the classic attraction.    Disney California Adventure Park  gets even more into spooky season, w

Tiana’s Palace & Mint Julep Bar

Tiana's Palace at Disneyland opened in September and has been drawing in the crowds to check out what this New Orleans princess has to offer.  The restaurant offers up favorites like house gumbo and shrimp and grits, and of course Tiana's famous beignets.  This is a quick service restaurant in New Orleans Square offering Mobile Order and walk ups as well. Victor Bodden Tours: Zip & Dip

While cruises to new destinations are wonderful and exciting, ports of call and shore excursions can be a bit overwhelming with so many options to choose from! There are many highlights to see and do in Roatan, Honduras.  After reviewing the choices we found this excursion option through Victor Bodden Tours, Zip & Dip that would let us experience three activities in one!   When doing research on the location, zip lining through the jungles and animal sanctuaries on the island where you can cuddle up with a sloth seemed to be the highest recommendations.  This excursion started at a location that combined both of these amazing experiences, plus a stop at a beautiful beach to enjoy the crystal clear blue waters of the island!  We were picked up with our group outside the port area.  The meeting location was easy to find and we only waited a few minutes before we boarded our small van and headed off.   When we arrived, our group was checked in and everyone was given wristbands of the
