Top 10 Must Do's at Disneyland

Disneyland, known as the “Happiest Place on Earth” is the original park which Walt Disney opened for both children and adults. Originally, Walt Disney wanted to call the park “Mickey Mouse Park” or “Disneylandia” and later settled on Disneyland. Disneyland opened on July 17, 1955 with 18 rides and attractions including Autopia, Disneyland Railroad, Jungle Cruise, King Arthur Carrousel, Peter Pan and the Mad Tea Party. The five original lands that opened were Adventureland, Frontierland, Fantasyland, Tomorrowland and of course, Main Street USA.  Presently, Disneyland Park consists of nine themed “lands” and 52 attractions (including 49 rides). The nine themed lands are Main Street, USA, Adventureland, Frontierland, Fantasyland, Tomorrowland, Critter Country, New Orleans Square, Mickey’s Toontown and Galaxy’s Edge. Here are the top 10 things I love to do while visiting Disneyland. 10. Meet Characters Characters are roaming around the park, unlike Disney World. You can find them walkin

SUPER NINTENDO WORLD at Universal Studios Hollywood

SUPER NINTENDO WORLD Entrance SUPER NINTENDO WORLD™ at Universal Studios Hollywood is one of the most immersive, interactive and amazing lands that I've ever seen at a theme park. The land opened in February 2023 inviting guests to discover the world of Super Mario™ and step into familiar locations from the Mushroom Kingdom. SUPER NINTENDO WORLD™ includes the attraction Mario Kart™: Bowser’s Challenge, Toadstool Cafe restaurant, and the 1-UP Factory™ store.  Upon first entering the land, I was experiencing sensory overload but in the absolute best way possible. I didn't know where to look first! The land is full of interactive elements, with so much movement, color and a ton of great photo opportunities. SUPER NINTENDO WORLD™ is best experienced with an interactive Power-Up Band that you can use to collect digital coins and keys located through the land. Although you can still enjoy the area without a Power-Up Band, I highly recommend purchasing one to get the full experience.

Top 10 Must-Do's at Universal Studios Hollywood

Universal Studios Hollywood opened in 1964 with one attraction, the now World-Famous Studio Tour. Today, the theme park has 10 out-of-this-world themed lands across the Upper and Lower lots, plus Universal CityWalk, an entertainment, dining and shopping destination to explore. The themed lands include Minion Land, The Wizarding World of Harry Potter, Hollywood, Jurassic World, Production Plaza, Springfield, Studio Tour Plaza, SUPER NINTENDO WORLD, Transformers Metrobase and WaterWorld.  If you've been to Universal Orlando Resort, you may think the attractions at Universal Studios Hollywood are a carbon-copy of their Orlando counterparts but you'd be wrong. Universal Studios Hollywood offers some familiar attractions to Orlando, but they aren't identical. There are also themed lands and attractions that are unique to Hollywood and are absolutely worth a visit to the west coast to experience!  Here's my list of the top ten Must Do's at Universal Studios Hollywood. 10.

Keeping Cool in the Parks

We all know that Florida is known for its sunshine. During the warmer months, it is a good idea to take a break from the heat throughout the day. Luckily, there are plenty of interesting ways throughout the parks for you to keep cool for a few minutes. Here are some specific attractions to look for to take a break from the heat in each of the four theme parks.  When you are at the Magic Kingdom  there are several great shows to enjoy for a break from the heat and a break for your feet! You can visit Walt Disney's Enchanted Tiki Room or the Carousel of Progress and enjoy Disney classic entertainment.  For a 3D show with all your favorite characters, drop by Mickey’s PhilharMagic. Are you more of a jokester? Maybe the Monsters, Inc. Laugh Floor is right up your alley; you may become the center of attention! If shows aren't what you're after, the classic ride, Dumbo the Flying Elephant, includes a brilliant feature: much of your waiting will be done at an indoor playgrou
