Mythos Restaurant at Universal's Islands of Adventure

Located on The Lost Continent of Universal's Islands of Adventure, Mythos is an award-winning, full-service restaurant that offers an otherworldly experience. If you've ever been to Universal's Islands of Adventure, you've undoubtedly walked by this restaurant with its towering rock formations, waterfalls and ancient figures carved into the side of the building. The restaurant has been calling to me for years and I was finally able to give it a try. When you enter the restaurant, it feels like you've entered a cavernous grotto from another world. There are oceanic and mythical touches throughout the indoor dining room and there's also outdoor seating with great views of the park. There's also a kids menu for little ones and a dessert menu featuring Chocolate Banana Gooey Cake.  On our first visit to Mythos, we

Strong Water Tavern

Strong Water Tavern is a favorite local hangout at the Universal Orlando Resort.  It is a rum-focused bar with Caribbean-inspired tapas located at Loews Sapphire Falls Resort.   Per Universal's Website, "A wall of vintage rums, your own rum specialist, a ceviche bar and a patio overlooking the lagoon combine to make Strong Water Tavern an exceptionally cool and stylish watering hole. Featuring tapas style dining options with rum tastings, this is a true destination lounge in the heart of an island jewel." The atmosphere is laid back with a standard bar area, several community tables and traditional restaurant tables as well.  There are TVs behind the bar and sometimes there is live music playing. This is a great place to congregate with friends or family and try a few things! I've been here several times now and wouldn't hesitate to recommend it to clients or friends.  It is my go-to now at Universal O

Mardi Gras 2023 Review

We used the food booths for several meals, saw the parade and caught a concert.  First, everything is colorful and lively across Universal Studios Florida, this is definitely the hub of the event although it has trickled out into other areas of the destination.    I’m all about the food so we were excited to “taste the flavors of Carnaval” and have some old favorites and try some new things. What we did find challenging though was actually finding the booths we wanted to try. We couldn’t find any sort of ma
