Boatwright's Dining Hall Review

Boatwright’s Dining Hall is one of those Walt Disney World restaurants that would be easy to miss if you’re not a guest of Disney’s Port Orleans Riverside Resort, but if you have the chance to dine there—don’t skip it!  Boatwright’s is located between the River Roost Lounge and the Riverside Mill Food Court in the main building at Port Orleans Riverside.  It serves breakfast and dinner and typically doesn’t require advance reservations. On our previous trip, we had spent the day park hopping and couldn’t decide if we wanted to spend the time and energy getting to Downtown Disney for dinner.  We decided Boatwright’s was just the ticket, and had a short 5 minute wait.  Boatwright’s is larger than it seems when you are walking by—there is the dining area that you see under the partially constructed boat, but there is another lovely, quiet room tucked away in the back, with a fireplace.  We were seated in this quiet room. The menu is full of what I would describe as bayou comfort foo

Epcot International Flower and Garden Festival

Spring is in full swing at Walt Disney World and so has Epcot’s International Flower and Garden Festival !  This is one of my favorite times of the year to visit Epcot.  The gardens, flowers and even food booths enhance the beauty that Epcot already has. Along with the addition of food and beverage booths in recent years, the highlight of the Flower and Garden Festival is definitely the topiaries. Throughout Future World and World Showcase, guests can find their favorite characters transformed in to beautiful green topiaries. While I enjoy all of them, here are a few photos of some of my favorites! Have you visited the Epcot International Flower and Garden Festival?  What was your favorite topiary? Jess

How much longer until your next Disney trip?

Ears the News with Richard

Disney has just rolled out an upgrade to the Wi-Fi infrastructure across all four Walt Disney World theme parks. The update aims to increase performance and network stability for the ever-increasing number of guests trying to use the service. Part of the upgrade has been made possible by removing support for old devices that were connecting on the 802.11b band. This means that owners of some early Wi-Fi phones and iPods will no longer be able to access the Disney Wi-Fi service in the parks. Due to the importance of accessing My Disney Experience, access to the Internet in the theme park has become a critical part of a day in the parks. AT&T has also been working at improving cell based data services as an alternative to Disney's Wi-Fi service.
