Docking Bay 7 Food and Cargo

To fully immerse yourself in Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge at Disney's Hollywood Studios, you must stop by Docking Bay 7 Food and Cargo. Careful as you may run into some who don’t want to allow passage into the Docking Bay! Once safely inside, you are surrounded by travelers from all over the galaxy! We dined on Endorian Fried Chicken and Batuuan Beef Pot Roast. The Tip Yip was everyone’s favorite! We opted for the children’s meal since we were not sure if our 5 year old traveler would enjoy these worldly offerings. He did...and nearly ate it all himself! I guess battling the dark side will do that to a young padawan! For dessert, we had the Batuu-Bon which was also a favorite! The specialty drink options change seasonally! You never know what surprises you will get when you are exploring this part of the galaxy! Endorian Fried Chicken Tip Yip Youngling Meal Crispy Chicken, Macaroni and Cheese, and Seasonal Vegetables served with choice of Small Low-fat Milk or Small DASANI® Water Batu

Remy Brunch Review

On a recent Disney Cruise with a dear friend, we treated ourselves to a brunch at Remy. At the time of writing, this adult only dining option starts at $75 per person. There is a dress code and even at brunch guests definitely dress up for this dining experience. We got all gussied up after rolling out of the oh so comfortable beds on the Disney Fantasy, and went upstairs.  We were quickly escorted to our seat while being given a brief synopsis of the history of the restaurant. Our table had a lovely water view and if one looked hard enough, a small amount of the AquaDuck! We were given a water menu and asked what kind we would like. Simply put, if I am going to indulge in a beverage during an already expensive meal, it's going to be an adult libation nine times out of ten. For that reason, I told our server that I would be happy with tap and so did my dining companion who whispered in my ear she could not justify $15 on breakfast water. We were quickly served complimentary champag

Walt Disney World Resort Categories

Disney's Contemporary Resort: a Deluxe Resort option With so many resorts on WDW property, it is easy to be intimidated by the large number of choices. One way to narrow down the list of possibilities is to start by looking at the four different categories of resorts: Value, Moderate, Deluxe and Deluxe Villas.   Once you know what category you want to pursue, there are a variety of hotel options within each resort category from which to choose. There is no wrong choice; part of the fun of going back again and again is being able to experience a variety of rooms and resorts all over property! Resort Amenities Disney resorts at all levels have the same trademark Disney service and attention to detail, theming, and cleanliness. They all come with complimentary transportation to the theme parks, water parks, and Disney Springs. ( See here for more information on how to navigate WDW transportation). At all resorts, you will also receive the great benefit of Early Theme P

Ultimate St. Thomas Excursion Review

While taking a cruise in November 2022 on the Disney Fantasy, I decided to book the Ultimate St. Thomas through the DCL app while onboard. This excursion started at the bright and early time of 8:15am. The wait to meet with our group in the Walt Disney Theater was notable. When we were told where to sit, we noticed the color of our sticker did not match the others and double checked with the Cast Member. It turns out he had accidentally placed us with the wrong excursion group. I'm mentioning this so if it happens to you, you know to double check as well. Cast Members are human too. We funneled into a group of open air taxis pretty quickly once off the ship. It is not a far walk off the pier and would be challenging to lose the group. The tour was comprised of three separate parts. The first was an island tour where our driver, Perry, told us about the various buildings we drove next to, a history of the island, and some fun facts. We were fascinated to learn that graffiti has a ma

Chacchoben Mayan Ruins in Costa Maya

Lucky for us, the Mayans were wrong in their prediction of the end of the world in 2012.   However, they were extremely successful thousands of years ago in building amazing temples and other buildings that formed the basis for large cities throughout the Yucatan Peninsula.   For those of you lucky enough to sail on a Western Caribbean Cruise with a stop at Costa Maya, you can see for yourself just how amazing these cities were. Most stops in Costa Maya last a short 4-5 hours, which is the perfect amount of time for an excursion to the Chacchoben Mayan City.   The tour starts off with a 1 hour ride aboard an air conditioned coach bus from the port through the jungle and farmlands of the area.   For many people, this is an eye opening bus ride through very poor and rural areas of Mexico.   These villages and rural areas are much different from what we are used to seeing in the resort areas of Mexico.   During the bus ride, your tour guide does an excellent job of providing bac
