While traditional character meet and greets are not currently happening at Walt Disney World, I'm actually a huge fan of the Character Cavalcades that have popped up in the mean time.  These are randomly occurring events throughout the day in each park, so it is just a little extra burst of magic! Magic Kingdom In the Magic Kingdom you'll find a variety of characters ranging from Princess royalty to Fantasyland favorites.  The best place to catch these cavalcades is in Liberty Square, the Hub or Main Street. Epcot Epcot is another great place for Princess spotting and you can catch Mickey and Minnie in a fun World Showcase themed car.  These characters can be found around World Showcase.  Hollywood Studios If you're looking for Pixar pals, look no further than Disney's Hollywood Studios, the best place to catch these friends is along Hollywood Boulevard.  Animal Kingdom In Animal Kingdom, the characters float by around the Tree of Life.  You can catch favor...

Dining at ‘Ohana changes you. With the food and warmth of the people and the welcoming surroundings of Disney's Polynesian Village Resort, it is hard not to fall in love with all it has to offer. And then you have the food. When you are brought in by your cousin, you pass the warmth of the Pineapple-Coconut Bread. You immediately start to feel your soul filling, and you haven’t even eaten anything yet! Once seated, the mixed greens salad is served to you family style! Don’t worry if you finish it...there is more where that came from! Following the salad is my personal favorite, the pork dumplings. If you're looking for a casual dining experience after a long day touring the parks, Jake's American Bar is a great choice! Located at the Loews Royal Pacific Resort, Jake's American Bar is available for lunch or dinner and serves a variety of bar favorites.  This full-service bar pays homage to the fabled South Seas explorer, Jake McNally, whose seaplane you can see floating in the resort's lagoon. They serve appetizers, entrees and island cocktails like Jake's Margarita or the Island Man Tai. If you prefer beer, they also have Craft Beers, Local Brews and Draft Beers available.  On our recent visit, we opted to order a few items to share. The Three Broomsticks is an iconic location for any Harry Potter fan, but is also a delicious lunch spot for anyone visiting Universal Orlando Resort!  The food is familiar yet unique, and served hot and fresh to your table. This location is located in the Hogsmeade location of the Wizarding World of Harry Potter at Universal's Islands of Adventure. What sets this apart from other quick service locations for me is that you order your food and then taken to a table and the food is brought to you, which is becoming more and more popular these days, but definitely wasn't the norm when the Three Broomsticks first opened.  We placed our order and then were led to a table in the dining area which looks like a scene right out of a Harry Potter movie of course.  For lunch today we ordered a Spareribs Platter, normally served with corn on the cob and roasted potatoes but we subbed veggies for the potatoes, and Fish and Chips along with some Pumpkin Juice as a beverage.  First...

Please stand clear of the doors! Love to watch the monorails whoosh by? Hop over to Disney's Contemporary Resort's Contempo Café for the prime monorail watching spot and a good quick service meal.  If you've never been to the Contemporary, it's worth a visit. Architecturally, it's awesome, as the monorails drive right through it every few minutes. It also has a 3-story tall Mary Blair painting that you'll see when you hop off. This resort is also home to Chef Mickey's sit down buffet with Mickey and Friends. The two gift shops here are pretty big, and often have things that Magic Kingdom is sold out of. They have a bakery counter with Mickey inside the gift shop too. #1 Monorail fan! We placed a mobile order while on the monorail, and after about 10 minutes of disembarking, the food was ready for pick up.
