Carthay Circle Review

The Kingdom Konsultant team had the pleasure of being invited to the Disneyland Resort for agent training recently, and the first night the whole group was there, we went to Carthay Circle for dinner. The restaurant is a model of the famed Carthay Circle Theater, where Snow White debuted in 1937. The restaurant is elegant and beautiful, but not pretentious. They are used to people in theme park attire. We had trouble securing a reservation for 18, but we were able to get 3 smaller reservations and the restaurant was accommodating to seat us at tables next to each other. We had beautiful tables on the balcony overlooking Disney California Adventure and a dazzling sunset.  Some of us ordered entrees, some ordered appetizers but mostly we ordered a lot of things to share! Every table tried the Warm Cheddar Parker House Rolls, which were served with Calabrian Chili-Pine Nut Romesco Butter. These were delicious , and the butter was the real star.  Warm Cheddar Parker House Rolls & Calab

Throwback Thursday: Bon Voyage Breakfast

Once upon a time Disney’s newest character breakfast at Walt Disney World was the “Bon Voyage” Character breakfast at Trattoria al Forno at Disney’s Boardwalk.   You got not only a fabulous sit down meal, but you were able to meet and interact with a couple of Disney princesses, Ariel and Rapunzel, and also their rarely-seen mates, Eric and Flynn Ryder.   All four of these Disney characters are my oldest daughter’s favorites, so she was beside herself thinking that she could finally meet all of them at once when this debuted.   I was able to get my family a reservation so we could enjoy this meal and fulfill our princess dreams. When we first arrived at Trattoria, it was packed, so that was a good sign to me that this was going to be a great experience.   Once we were finally seated, our waitress greeted us, took our drink orders and told us how the characters would come by one at a time.   It wasn’t long before we had our first visitor, Rapunzel.   She was so pleasant and very sweet,

Blue Bayou Restaurant Review

While at Disneyland, several Kingdom Konsultant Agents wanted to try the famous Blue Bayou Restaurant in Disneyland Park. Blue Bayou is located in New Orleans Square, INSIDE Pirates of the Caribbean, in fact! When you start your journey on Pirates, as you sail through the quiet bayou, the restaurant is part of the ambience. It’s a beautiful space, always night time, with lanterns and moss hanging from the ceiling. Prime seating is by the water but we didn’t request those accommodations as we were just happy to be inside the famed Blue Bayou!   Alcoholic beverages are served at Blue Bayou, but we stuck to soft drinks for this meal. Agent Ashley did order the signature (non-alcoholic) Mint Julep, with a souvenir glow cube, and she said it was delicious. Assuming it was a one and done, we were pleasantly surprised when our server came around with a pitcher offering her a refill on her Mint Julep, so keep that in mind if you order one at $5.75 ($9.25 if you want the glow cube). Why You'll Love Planet Hollywood at Disney Springs

Planet Hollywood is located in Disney Springs, and you can't miss it - it looks like an observatory with it's huge domed roof. If you're looking for a memorable and lively restaurant, check this place out! Movie lovers and TV show buffs will love seeing all the authentic Hollywood props. There are so many dining choices at Disney Springs, but if you have kids or teens, I suggest Planet Hollywood! High School Musical Props - Go Wildcats! Reasons why you will love dining here: 1. There wasn't a wait time. We were a few minutes early for our reservation, and they sat us right away. We were having a good time before we even got to the table. A Frozen song was blasting, the bass was pumping, and we got to browse some props from famous movies on our way up the stairs such as Dorothy's dress from The Wizard of Oz .  2. The props, memorabilia, and artifacts from our favorite movies and shows were all around us, and our table had pieces from Pirates of the Caribbean inside

Lamplight Lounge Review

The Kingdom Konsultant agents took on Lamplight Lounge at Disney California Adventure Park and loved it!  It has such a fun atmosphere with so many neat nods to Pixar. We found ourselves finding all kinds of “Easter Eggs” throughout our meal. Lamplight Lounge is located in the Pixar Pier area of Disney California Adventure. It is two stories, with awesome views of the water, Pixar Pal-A-Round and Incredicoaster. We sat downstairs on the deck, and got to enjoy this incredible view:  We really enjoyed the relaxed, casual atmosphere. Our server was great and easily handled the large group with multiple checks and various requests. We ordered appetizers and entrees and shared everything because we all wanted to try so many things! We couldn’t pass up one of Lamplight Lounge’s signature appetizers, the Lobster Nachos. In fact, I think we had several orders! At $23, these were a crowd pleaser and easily shared. A small takeaway from the Lobster Nachos: I got the chipotle crema on the side of
