Disney’s Animal Kingdom Lodge

Disney’s Animal Kingdom Lodge is without a doubt one of the most uniquely themed resorts on Disney property. Upon arrival at the resort, you are immediately transported to the heart of Africa. If I hadn’t flown to the Orlando International Airport, I may have actually thought I had landed in Africa! Disney's Animal Kingdom Lodge Lobby The lobby has the similar awe-inspiring effect of Disney’s Wilderness Lodge. With thatched ceilings, large wood beams and real African artifacts, you again have to remind yourself that you are not really in Africa but at Walt Disney World. The lobby boasts a floor to ceiling window that overlooks one of the three savannas. Just like Disney’s Animal Kingdom theme park, Animal Kingdom Lodge is all about conservation and is dedicated to the care of animals. Savanna View   Disney's Animal Kingdom Lodge has three separate savannas; Sunset, Arusha and Uzima. The savannas are home to over 30 species of African wildlife including zebras, giraffes,

Disney’s Old Key West Resort

When I travel to Walt Disney World, I usually pick a resort that transports me to another destination through its theme. Port Orleans takes me to New Orleans; Animal Kingdom Lodge takes me to Africa; the Yacht Club takes me to New England; and the list goes on and on. Disney’s Old Key West Resort is unique in that it doesn’t take you to some far off destination. It brings the heart of the Florida Keys the 300 plus miles to Central Florida! Disney’s Old Key West Resort is the quintessential idea of Florida vacation living. Upon arrival at the Hospitality House in the community of Conch Flats, guests are immersed in the sights and sounds of the islands. Across from the Hospitality House is home to the resort’s table service restaurant, Olivia’s. Olivia’s serves up home-style food for breakfast, lunch and dinner with the Key West influence in a casual atmosphere. They offer seating both inside the dining room and outside on the patio. Disney's Grand Californian Hotel & Spa Review

I had the opportunity to stay at Disney’s Grand Californian Hotel & Spa while at the Disneyland Resort recently, and I truly loved every second of my stay beginning at check-in with the gracious Cast Member who made the process quick and easy (and who also gave me the most-coveted of items: the “1 st Visit” button). The lobby at the Grand Californian is absolutely stunning. The Craftsman style architecture is reminiscent of, but not exactly like, Disney’s Wilderness Lodge at the Walt Disney World Resort. The lobby is somehow elegant, cozy and comfortable all at the same time thanks to the large fireplace and lots of soft seating. You can check in using the Disneyland app, drop your bags with bell services and head into the parks or to the pool if your room isn’t ready yet. The resort will send you a text with your room number and you can use your phone to unlock your door. So easy! The rooms at the Grand Californian are spacious and well appointed. Our room had 2 queen beds and

Chronos Club Review at Disney's Coronado Springs Resort

I recently stayed at the Chronos Club at Disney's Coronado Springs Resort. I've been a fan of Disney's Coronado Springs Resort since my first visit as it reminds me of my hometown, San Antonio. I've stayed in rooms ranging from preferred, Casita Suite, Tower King, and now Club Level access. The Chronos Club is located on the 15th floor of the Gran Destino Tower and can only be accessed with a key card or MagicBand to a corresponding Club Level reservation. I've previously stayed Club Level at Disney's Animal Kingdom Lodge, Disney's Polynesian Village Resort, Disney's Grand Floridian Resort, Disney's BoardWalk Inn, and Disney's Grand Californian Resort. These are all considered Deluxe Resorts. Something that makes the Chronos Club stand out is that it is located in what Disney considers a Moderate Resort. I was really excited to check out the difference in experience, since there can be a notable difference in price tag for Moderate vs. Deluxe Res
