Flower and Garden Festival: Treats and Eats Part 2

In our first installment  of the series we looked at some of the "garden focused" Epcot Flower and Garden Festival booths.  In this installment, we will look at the booths around World Showcase that feature ingredients and items inspired by the country or region represented. While the World Showcase in Epcot is filled with great regional cuisine any time of year, the additional food options that come with the Flower and Garden Festival are always a welcome treat! As you approach World Showcase from Future World, you are faced with a decision - left to Mexico, or right to Canada (or do you get crazy and hop on a Friendship Boat and start in the middle!?)  For today's adventure, let's start to the right and head towards Canada. Welcome to the latest edition of Ears the News Brought to you by our friends at  WDWMagic.com The merchandise location refurbishments are continuing at Disney's Hollywood Studios, with Mickey's of Hollywood closing May 14 to begin a remodel. Photo courtesy of wdwmagic.com   Mickey's of Hollywood is the main store in the park, found along Hollywood Boulevard near to the main entrance. It will join Keystone Clothiers, the former Planet Hollywood store and Legends of Hollywood - all in refurbishment. The redesigned store is expected to reopen in September 2019, still offering a similar variety of product. Welcome to the latest edition of Ears the News Brought to you by our friends at  WDWMagic.com Disney is adding a new perk for its resort hotel guests this fall, "Extra, Extra Magic Hours." The additional early morning hours will begin alongside the opening of Star Wars Galaxy's Edge on August 29 2019 and will give resort hotel guests daily early morning access to the parks. Also announced today was that Disney's Hollywood Studios will open at 6am for all guests on August 29 - 31 2019. Extra, Extra Magic Hours Schedule Fall 2019 Disney’s Hollywood Studios – Daily from September 1 to November 2 2019, from 6-9am, including Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge (subject to capacity). Attractions available are planned to include Millennium Falcon: Smugglers Run, Slinky Dog Dash, Alien Swirling Saucers, Toy Story Mania, The Twilight Zone Tower of Terror, Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster Starring Aerosmith, Star Tours: The Adventures Continue, and Star Wars: Launch Bay.

Welcome to the latest edition of Ears the News Brought to you by our friends at WDWMagic.com Mickey's Not-So-Scary Halloween Party will debut an all new fireworks show for 2019 - replacing the 14 year old Hallo-Wishes show. According to Disney, "this new show will feature state-of-the-art projection effects, lasers, lighting Photo courtesy of Disney Parks and dazzling fireworks that come together to tell a not-so-scary story about how anything can happen on Halloween night. The show will take guests along on a trick-or-treating adventure, where four friends – Mickey, Minnie, Donald and Goofy – find themselves drawn into a mysterious haunted house. The journey takes them from one room of the house to another, encountering dancing skeletons, waltzing ghosts and a whole series of troublemaking Disney villains." Following from the original pilot at the Magic Kingdom, Disney Guest Experience teams have now been deployed at Disney's Hollywood Studios.
