Roundup Rodeo BBQ

Run like the wind, Bullseye, over to the newest restaurant in these parts, Roundup Rodeo BBQ in Disney’s Hollywood Studios. As you walk up to the entrance, you would think it’s been here the whole time. All of the outdoor theming with Woody, Jessie & all their friends just blend right into Toy Story Land that’s been here since 2018. The check-in podium is outside, just around the corner from the entrance to Toy Story Land, and there is a small waiting area under the marquee sign. You can check-in at the podium or through the My Disney Experience app. When you are called in to Andy’s Toybox to join all of the other “grown up toys,” you are amazed at all of the drawings and cut outs of Woody, Jessie, Stinky Pete, Bullseye & Bo Peep. Even some of Bonnie’s friends like Buttercup and Trixie made it into Andy’s place to play. You are greeted by Jessie & Trixie in the first room and Bo Peep and her Sheep in the second room. Remember that once you are in the restaurant, you are no

Hollywood Brown Derby

The Hollywood Brown Derby is Disney's Hollywood Studio's Signature Dining establishment serving lunch and dinner, known for dishes such as the famous Cobb Salad and the Grapefruit Cake.  You'll be transported back to the golden age of Hollywood when you walk inside and see the walls lined with caricatures of celebrities and rich dark wood tones.   The menu here was updated as part of the 50th anniversary celebrations so we were excited to give it a try!  The meal started with some lovely rolls and butter with fancy sea salt which was delightful.  I also started the meal with what I believe was an old fashioned but can't find the cocktail list now so can't get the exact description for you, I apologize.  It was great though.   We started off our meal with some appetizers as per usual, because I just tend to really love appetizers.  However, none of them were really jumping out at us but then our server said the magic words "pork belly" when we asked what he

ABC Commissary

I'll be honest, ABC Commissary at Disney's Hollywood Studios was one of my least favorite counter service restaurants in the parks, but in recent years, they have revamped their menu and I'd heard good things so we decided to give it another try.  Spoiler alert: I loved our meal!  We'd been eating a lot this trip so we opted to split a salad to keep things light - and I'm so glad we did, it was huge!  Their salad option is a Mediterranean Salad with Chicken, which is Marinated Chicken served over Mixed Greens with Tomatoes, Cucumber, Pepperoncini, Kalamata Olives, and Feta tossed in a Mediterranean Vinaigrette served with Hummus and Grilled Flatbread.  This joins the menu of shrimp or pork tacos and a variety of sandwiches.  This plate was just filled with an abundance of goodness.  I loved the generous scoop of hummus to go with the pita and the chicken was nice and juicy with enough cheese to get some in every bite.   Because it's the 50th Anniversary, there w

Why Are We NOT Talking About This Snack???

Hey there, Disney Fans!!! It's me, Jenn... back from quarantine! My Orlando-based family and I have spent the last 14 months in a pretty strict lock-down, due to my and my son's vulnerability to COVID. It's been a weird  year. That doesn't even cover it. It's been downright BIZARRE, but it is so nice to start to see a light at the end of the tunnel, as more of our country gets vaccinated.  We chose to give up our Disney Annual Passes back in May of 2020, because we knew we wouldn't feel safe being in the parks. Man, did we miss Disney, though! We would even occasionally drive onto property just to see those red, purple and teal directional signs, the naked monorail beam, or the still Tower of Terror billboard on World Drive.  So what was the first  thing we did when The Hubs and I were fully vaccinated??? Get our Annual Passes back, of course! We have been back in the parks and active for about the past 3 weeks and we have been having so much fun appreciating al
